1949 Ford VIN numbers

Guys, I have owned a 1949 Ford, Nova Front Clip 298/C4 for the last few years. When I bought it locally for some reason I did not look for the Vin Tag. The car has been registered here in Ca since 1989 and I have it currently registered, have the Ca Pink.

I also have a copy of the Arizona Title when the car came in here in 1989.

All documents have the same VIN 98HA133336 which when decoded is correct for the car.

I am now wanting to sell it and not having the original Vin Tag is a problem for the buyer. Any suggestions where else the VIN could be located, it's not on the firewall or door jams.

i believe ford puts a 2nd tag up under the back end behind the bumper too

Go to the Cali DMV, tell 'em what ya have, and ask for a new vin and plate.
