Do they really think a site called racing junk is going to get a lot of bites using ugg boots and louie v hand bags! As bait.

I dunno Rabbit...I don't think so...that box was to accept Liability in order to make a post. Like I said in my other thread the forum configuration is still set up that anyone who registers has to type that Crazy Code ( Pattern) so its telling me a person is signing on ( best guess) not automation computer......so that being the case they could still check the box and make the post if the check box was still active ( again best guess)...all they are doing is copying and pasting their post to different threads..again another sign its a person cause you have to manually go from one section to another. ( common forum navigation to us all that have been here for any length of time)
It will be handled one way or another....I know of 50-60 spammer IP addresses that can No longer access the site..maybe they will get another computer or go somewhere else to post but they ain't coming back the way they came the 1st time...

I don't think fastvega meant anything personal. It was really bad this weekend. Almost every thread was full of the spam and i mean FULL of it. I was also about ready to give it up for a few days until bj and top sportsman got it fixed. I'm not knocking those guys because i know they just couldn't keep up with the amount that was getting on here and as fast as it was happening.
We seam to be back to normal (Whatever that may be. lol) now and for the first time in while the forum is pretty active with all sorts of questions and comments.

dude, there was nothing said that was directed at brian or tom... the whole problem was higher up then the mods here. i was a mod on a few different sites... i know what is involved when it comes to dealing with stuff like this and know it was beyond what brian and tom could do on this end....the longer you let spam bots into the site... the more you will get cause they send the info to other bots to post here too and even though they were working their ass off at removing them as fast as they could... their are millions of them out there and its like pissing into the wind if you dont fix the security issue that is allowing them in to begin with :wink:

I don't think they get paid by how many post they create, but everytime someone clicks on the site that they posted, then they get paid for the click. They will eventually just go away if no one clicks on the site posted. I don't think anyone on this forum will be clicking on anything that they have posted.

I am only sorry a select few from the past could not agree to disagree..we ALL could have been far better off if they could have stayed around and taken things a little more in stride...

Thanks Bjuice,Topsports it was pretty bad. This is the only site i go on and the first time ever seen spammers. I really didnt know what was going on and was pissed when trying to find the threads i was following. Thank god its over for now and we can get back to some fun, laughs and some help when needed.
