going to put 2.19 intake valves in and some bowl work what heads will do better and have higher comp? so say 049s some times have a 122cc combustion chamber?????
with kb 257 pistons what compression will they yeild??

I have a set of 781's just out of the machine shop, ss ,o/s valves no springs . 681 dollars worth of work taking offers let me know

Yes those heads can have huge chambers and ya gotta cc them..I had to get a lot milled my 049's to get it down to 118. I think the 049's/781's are pretty close in terms of port desgin&size. They flow well as even a stock set can flow 270 cfm on the intake!

Take a look at the 820s, you may like them better.

I have a single bare reconditioned 820 head. Oven cleaned, shot blasted, mag checked, bronze liners honed to size, hardened exh seats, 3 angle valve job and resurfaced. 2.065 int and 1.72 exhaust. Casting #3993820.
