ss355 (#135048) His Advertisements are false
I Purchased a race engine from him that he advertised as making 875HP AD#2561001 I drove 12 hours to pick it up in Kentucky. Then brought it all the way back home to a dyno near me and it made 275hp less than what he advertised.Ive been trying to contact him and he wont answer or return any of my calls. He said he would send me dyno sheets and a cam card which i never received. Because of this situation i will never purchase anything from Racingjunk.com ever again.
You have purchased nothing from Racingjunk.com. This forumn cannot vouch for buyers/sellers.This forumn only puts buyers/sellers together People must do their homework to avoid these problems. A dyno run in the sellers backyard would have shown the claims were false. IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH RJ.COM....

I traded on here about 4 yrs ago with not even somuch as a hick up Ive met great people here and come accross some dirt bags but RJ was never a direct part in any of it. It was just a conduit to conduct buisness and a place to offer advice knowledge or help, Same as any other classified site or paper, ect. But your lack of fact checking before final payment is not RJ's fault. Do you buy a used car with out driving or checking it out?

I can see his frustration with RJ and their lack of prosecuting known scammers. However it is clearly not their fault. That is why I Only buy critical parts from reputable places.

no internet site can prosecute scammers. thats up to your local government agencies.and you have to charge them with a crime first.
