RACING AT TULSA THIS WEEKEND, AND THE OTHER CAR WENT RED AT THE TREE, THEN AT THE FINISH LINE THE GUY THAT WENT RED GETS THE WIN LIGHT .. THE TRACK SAID THAT IF THE CAR GOES RED, AND YOU TRY TO CHASE HIM DOWN, AND DO NOT CATCH HIM YOU LOOSE,, NOW I BEEN RACING FOR 30+ YEARS AND THAT IS SOME STUPID ASS CHIT, IF U GO RED,, U GO HOME,, HAS ANYONE EVER HAD A OPPONENT GO RED AT THE TREE, AND SAY ,OOOH I GOTTA SIT HERE BECAUSE IF I TRY TO CATCH HIM, AND DONT, HE WILL GET THE WIN LIGHT, HELLLLL. NO.. YOU SAY TO YOURSELF,, I JUST WON,, HE WENT RED AT THE TREE, NO ITS A FREE TIME RUN FOR ME,, AND I GOT THE VIDEO OF THE OTHER CAR LEAVING ON THE RED LIGHT,, AND YES THIS REALLY DID HAPPEN AT TULSA RACE WAY PARK, TULSA, OKLAHOMA, SATURDAY NIGHT AT THE MIDNIGHT FASTEST CAR FINALS, WHAT A JOKE !!!! FOR THE TOWER TO COME UP WITH THAT FANTASY LAND RULE. THAT THEY MUST HAVE WROTE ON TOILET PAPER WITH A CRAYON,,W.T.F.

The general rule is, first or worst is the loser. Even if you didn't know he went red and chased him down, the race was OVER when he lit the red bulb. Sounds like you got screwed big time. Your win light in your lane should have come on as soon as he lit the red light and you're the automatic winner.

Pretty standard with the grudge racing around these parts. You chase, you race. The reasoning being no one knows if you are giving them the break or not. It keeps the spectators from getting unruly if they have some side action going on...

That rule is even more stupid than some of the tracks in Ms. have like if you deep stage and it's not marked on the windshield DEEP, then you automatically lose, there's not a NHRA or IHRA track in the world that will disqualify you for deep staging, but Holly Springs Ms. will, and that's an outlaw track.

Guys please bear in mind that this happened at the Midnight Drags. This is a grudge / street racer program that most of us bracket racers try to clear out before it starts. Every other type of racing at the facility is ran as expected. Not putting them down since it gets a lot of guys off the streets, but it's not the only crazy stuff to ever happen there.

Every other type of racing at the facility is ran as expected. Not putting them down since it gets a lot of guys off the streets, but it's not the only crazy stuff to ever happen there.

That's why I will not grudge race. There is always some BS that goes along with it. Grudge racing is not about who has the fastest car or who can cut a light, it's about who can bs or pull some crap over on somebody. I live close to the grudge race capital of the world (House of Hook) and most of the time it never happens anyway and when it does there are a 1,000 different excuses why the looser doesn't have to pay. Look at Tony Bynes in Tx just the other week. Makes me want to puke at the bs reasons why not to pay punk out.


I'd loose my butt grudge racing, because I'd line up and race without all the bs and if I lost I'd pay the guy the money. Not to mention I'm not scared to race just about anything.

Curtis is right too. Keep racing off the streets... don't want to see innocent people get hurt/killed for not being responsible. We all have a stories of street races gone horribly wrong... midnight drags are a good solution. I just get fired up when people change the rules after the game!!!
