can a seat be adjustable in a low 9 high 8 second drag car to fit different size drivers ?

ihra rule book, it must be attched to the cross bar.

The seat isn't part of the chassis certification but it is covered in the NHRA rulebook. Any pin in or slide seat adjuster isn't legal. It has to be bolted in and the back has to be supported by the cross bar.
