We've seen plenty of guys come in here with attitudes and not stay long.
The thing a lot of guys don't get is you can dissagree all day long about something, but you don't have to be a smart azz about it / take it personal or get into a pissng match with somebody because they don't agree with you.
Plenty of things we "the clique" don't agree on, but we still get along.
I've also said it before, I visit several other forums and none come close to what we " the regulars" have on this one.

When you really start thinking about what all we've been through over the years it's a lot of history. Some good, some bad and some sad!

I don't have a ball in this particular game, HOWEVER, in past events the main issue was 'CIVILITY', rather, a large LACK of it actually that brought on a rather strong consensus to 'boot them out'. Civility is the issue here. We all have different opinions and have many times agreed to disagree. I invited a person from another forum over to tell his story about a problem seller and ghustler tells him that he deserved to be ripped off because of his personal choice of sidepipes on a Camaro?
Then you say we shouldnt be calling in people that have been accused of ripping someone off? Do you know how many times we have done that to find out the original poster wasnt telling the whole story?
What you dont understand ghustler is if you do go away, we are not going to eat each other. I have some good friends on here, guys that have helped me out and I have helped them out. Some of us have been around for years.

If you spend any time on forums across the web including SI, CNN etc., you will see an abundance of trolls. These people say obnoxious things because they can hide behind their computer. These are things they would not say to a person face to face.

Real interaction with humans moderates behavior. Hidden interaction fosters poor behavior; and ultimately drives other users away and burys the topic.

I think its fully appropriate for the Moderators to moderate these forums and require that users behave in a certain manner.

Repetitive obnoxious behavior can absolutely warrant a warning from the Mods, and failure to adhere to the guidelines can certainly and appropriately lead to lack of use.

Ghustler, you are here to provoke. You enjoy it, and I wouldnt be suprised if you have been here before under a different name.

I hate to see stuff like this on this forum! I will say this that the one thing I have learned in life that when it comes to a man or womens restored car or work in progress its best to keep your comments to urself. Reason I say that is no matter what kind of car or truck it may be the person thats putting the heart, blood, and soul into that project deserves all the credit one can get. Everyone has a favorite ride whether its a Camaro, Chevelle, Mustang, Cuda, Pinto, Pacer or whatever but a person that has a passion for their certain car deserve credit where credit is due! I have had people come to my shop and slam my impala to my face ranting I destroyed a car, but I learned its not about what they want its what I want that car to be. My motto has always been Built by me for me... Even when a person buys something that has nothing wrong with it a person will change little things that make their own. So in my eyes even if its a car you would never think about building keep in mind that person put the same blood and sweat that all of us put into our rides... Again, very well said to both of you. I too may not agree with ghustler's tactics, but he's fighting the "RJ Thugs" and they "DO" think they own this forum! When ever someone says anything "they" don't agree with, the hit team forms and like a pack of wolves, they try to chew you apart, and hope you'll go away so they can just play with each other. Read the Bruce Alvarez thread. Its GHustlers first forum visit, he complained about an Ebay transaction. Tom and some of the forum readers were pretty hard on him. However it wasnt Scooter or Chris or any of the regulars who visit the forum.

He makes a comment "thanks for being my friends".

He formed his clique opinion right then. Different group of users mind you but he generalized all of the frequent users and decided he didnt fit in and it hurt his feelings. So he lingered, probably read some posts and it bugged him. So he started posting and his posts were fringe civil.

Then the forum did what many groups do, it rebelled to his approach. However, since he had the benefit of not facing the individuals directly, he could hide from or from the conflict and take shots from behind the keyboard. Remember its hard to deal with confliuct face to face but its quite easy when you wear the mask of a keyboard. You can be as tough as you want to be.

Understand that if you want to deal with him YOU CANNOT RESPOND TO HIM.

If you want to silence him, YOU MUST TAKE HIS VOICE. DO NOT REPLY TO HIM AT ALL.

Being ignored removes whatever limited power that he has through his disruption.

DD has been spot on with handling. Until you guys start to ignore him, he will play with you- and thats what he is doing.

Finally, someone talking civil. This whole thing started about a year ago in another fourm when someone was taking a poll on a subject and asked for input. Bob I can play nice if you can. My problem is with ghustler, he came on here defending a guy who is a proven liar and there are MANY posts on this forum about just how bad Jason Wolfe is. He also said a poster deserved to get ripped off because of his personal choice of parts to put on his car. We aint gonna stand for that crap. Yes, we are a gang, brotherhood, whatever you want to call us but we do stick up for own. This is our forum and have spent years on here making friends, talking cars, politics and doing our best to bring scammers out in the open.

Chris, I know exactly who you were after, and exactly what was said. And as I told you, I never stuck up for him. Don't know 'em, never met 'em, never even heard of him before this.
And as far as playing nice, I tried to be nice about things last year when you guys jumped me. I stated my opinion (you know what it was about) and instead of saying that you had a different opinion on the subject, you formed the alliance team and started the ball rolling. You keep talking about agreeing to disagree on this forum, then why couldn't just leave it at that.
So what you're saying is that because:
#1: I don't have 2,757 posts on here, so that makes me a troll and don't belong.
#2: I made one disagreeable opinion that you didn't like, so again, I don't belong to the "brotherhood"
Should I come back after making 2,710 more posts (I already have around 47 now). to see if will be accepted?

Bobr i don't post a lot on the forums but i have been on here a long time.

I also haven't met a lot of these guy's personally but i feel like i have made a lot of good friends on here . and they have posted in my defense before because they know that I'm not a bad person . and I'm sure if you give them a chance they will do the same.

I have read all the post in both section and i have my opinion and some time it is hard to not post it. I think you are a good guy i have read your post. I also think this got way out of hand .And if you go back and read the post you will see why.

This forum is one of the best around in my opinion and i do go to others

I have spoken in a way that I shouldn't to these guys. Out of respect for you guys, I sincerely apologize. DD, Fastford, etc... you are right. We give them too much ammo. We should not lower character for these clowns. I have said too much, talked trashy, & been double minded. Like many, I get angry & say things I shouldn't. OK, a truce it will be. But just to clear a few matters up, if you will look back at my posts you will see that I didn't use the word "clique" in any of the posts (just ask Scrop, I don't think I could spell it). I also never formed an alliance with ghustler, nor did I ever invite him to join up with me. I was a 1 man team that was out numbered from the start. We all did our attacks and bashing. This was not one sided.
And as far as I can remember, you were not part of the "pouncers" that "disagreed" with my opinion last year (but everyone that was remembers).
As you can see, I have been a member on RJ longer that most everybody in this discussion. October of 2004. I think that makes me a charter member. The reason I only had 35 posts (before this particular forum) is I'm not a forum type of guy. I was just tired of checking back once and a while, only to see the team after another "disagree'er" (is that a word Scrop?) Not everybody that disagrees or has there own opinion is a scammer. Which I was called many times by the group if you were to go back and read what I'm talking about. I have never, and never thought about, scamming anybody. I have sold over 18 cars on this web site, and every one of the sales was a good experience. Never had a complaint. But I was branded by the group as a scammer, trying to hide something. It's all there if you want to go back and read it.
So I would say that the others need to take your advice and let the water flow past the bridge.

Bobr, I don't keep up with all the scammer threads (I assume that's where you had your issue with the guys), but I don't remember anything about you. None of your post have said anything about me nor have any of mine about you. I just know what I've read in the last week or so.
With that being said I have no opinion good or bad. (not that my approval / disapproval makes any difference ...)
I don't think you're here to argue, but once it started it snowballed.

I can assure you that you will learn to trust the guys and they will return the respect / trust to you.
