View Full Version : Engine VIN code Identification

I need a little help, I have what i was told was a 383 stroker, i pulled the vin code off the front of the motor but cannot find anything on it. The vin # starts with CAF and six numbers behind it which seems to be the problem, cant find anything starting with CAF. Any help would be grateful.

When it comes to non factory production engines (like stroker motors) those letters and numbers are useless. The only thing that info is good for is the OE application.

What is the casting number on the block?
