Well was planning on doing some funday sunday racing but thats not going to happen. I rebuilt my engine a few months back and took it to test everthing and make a few passes and on the 3rd pass turned on the fogger with 150 hit and hit it about 400ft out, it was on a good pass then at 800ft blew a dam hole in #8 and geuss it broke the piston and parts of that one went across and put holes on the other side. I got the car back to shop took a bore scoope and found a hole in #8 and said the hell with it for now. I havnt had time to pull it out as i have been moving my shop and getting everthing back in order, never know how much stuff you have till you move, 12 years in the same place. I had a friend help me put the engine back in the car after i rebuilt it and was down to putting a small tuneup in fogger and handed him the jets and some how when i went to hook up the lines i must have kick out the nos side on #8. When i pulled off the lines thier was no jet and have still not found it. I am amazed when i tested the fogger that there was no frost on the line or the nozzle. Thats what i am going to be doing, putting some new pistons in and hope thats all thats wrong.

Dave, also wanted to thank you for the help and info on the lifters. I sent them out to isky to find out that they were crowers and isky was so kind to send them to crower at no charge. They rebuilt the lifters for 250.00 witch was a lot cheaper than the cost of a new set. ($1000.00)
Dang wazup, that makes me feel better about my luck
Don't you love drag racing

No more drag car but I am gonna beef up my 79 Z28 with solid subframe bushings, weld-on subframe connectors, G-Braces for the front cradle, 1" drop composite rear leaf springs and 2" drop Hotchkis front coils. Not only will she be quick in a straight line, she's gonna carve a few corners as well! :D

Just a little motor upgrade. Changing; crank, rods, pistons and cam. While in it going to upgrade to .904 lifters and 55mm cam. Upgrading so it can take a little more nitrous. Going to lighten the truck 60 to 70lbs and make a longer wheelie bar. Bad this is I'm still racing. So I don't have much time to get it all done. January and part of February is all the off season we have around here. :D

Good stuff.... I got stuck with a NIGHTMARE of project.
My kids (8 & 10yer olds) & my wife keeping bugging me to finish a tree house that I started like 5 years ago... she said "I probably would not get it done by the time they go to college"... darn thing is like 21 ft high at the peak!!! I HATE heights... wayyyy bigger project that I ever gave it credit for. I fell out of the damn thing last weekend raking the leaves out of it... caught one of the braces on the way out, lost my grip, & fell into a big pile of leaves & DOG CRAP (Great Dane... BIG PILES). knocked the wind out me... couldn't move.. on my back with CRAP all over me & the dog licking my face.... not my finest moment... STINKY & SORE.
After that stupid thing is done, I am refreshing up the Chevelle motor on the side (much more fun).

Dam Rigsby are you accident prone thats some funny sh there now  Sorry dont mean to laugh but its hard not too.
I went to 84 lumber and bought wood swing set and a sky fort in 1991 for my girls and thaught it was all predrilled and cut up to find out it was not. I spent all day cristmas eve and day with my dad and my brother putting it together if it wasn't for my dad it would still be sitting in the back yard. I still have it and now my grand kids play on it.

Sucks looking at the empty garage. The S-10 motor is out and put away. Hope to pick up the new pipe after the holidays. Motor should be mid January or February.
At this point, I might as well sell the trailer too!!!

Wazup is on the money... as much as I hate to admit... I am the most accident prone fool... everyone at work teases me NON-stop. I already am a member of that club Ken. Wabb- no videos this time.. but one of ribs is sore as he__... I do not dare cough or I will end up sharting myself.
Juice: that is the perfect idea for the 73... a 6 speed. tighten up the suspension some, make a few mods, you are a threat on the road courses, maybe some auto cross, etc... strike fear of all the "tuner" crowds & crush them Civc type dorks w/ farts cans. It will be a blast to drive.

I'll tell ya, those well prepped ricers literally kick ash on the hill climbs and auto cross. Lots of power in a short wheel based light weight well handling(even from the factory) package. It depends on the driver in how well they actually perform.
My old school brute horsepowered ANIMAL is a ton more fun though ! And it SOUNDS BETTER ! AND I built it completely with my own 2 hands on a low budget !
We have a couple of gen 2 Camaro's that play and they do pretty darn good and run right with those Asian jobs. They are both pumpin' about 200 horse more than my junk, one's turboed and the other is runnin' FI. LOTS more money in their's than I have in mine.
The bad thing about building a G Machine is it's waaaaay too tempting to 'play' hard on the public highways. Been there done that, not advised. Limiting play time to Track Days and the like can scratch the itch.

I hear ya DD, but you will never see my butt strapped into a "Tuner" FWD car that requires a laptop to tune... I am now officially too old to drive & appreciate those kind of s-boxes... for the many of the reasons you mention below. you built an awesome race car... she is all American, all race, all the things that represent pure gearheadedness... NOTHING that burns off with THE FRONT wheels & has a fake carbon hood with a FART CAN can even even come close. :P
