It is weird over here in Oregon regarding 65-68 coupes... they go cheap. Seen some decent ones between 5 to 10K. The 4-spd makes it more interesting though in my opinion. I see the coupe go higher value the more East from Oregon for some reason??? I never have understood it... but the fastback 65-68 are ridiculously HIGH priced.

I wouldn't consider what people are asking for it to determine value...means nothing......sold prices are what count.

They probably butchered the dash for the CD player. The opening was small in those cars and that part of the dash is welded in to the car. Not sure how that affects the value of the car or how hard it would be to fix.

The opening in the dash of those cars was just big enough for a factory style radio so the only other option would be an under dash or remote changer. Some outfit was offering a special cassette player that would fit. Back in the day I had to put my 8-track under the dash

Yep, I sure did! Keep in mind this was my 1st car, a 1966 Mustang coupe and this was in 1976. I don't think cassette players for cars were even available back then.

Oulaw: I would buy a TON of 1968 FB Stangs @ 1800... even a crusty roller... that is a DEAL. A 65-68 FB would bring MINIMUM 10K & up complete as a driver here in Oregon... needing paint. You scored.

Lively: LOL!! West... I guess I should clarify some... because it is odd to me (I do watch Mustang market allot). Example: saw a stock 65 coupe w/a re-paint & 289/auto go for 4,200.00 just a few months ago here. Seen a few others similar do the same. I have never understood why coupes go so cheap; but FB's are INSANELY HIGH. Weird....
