is staging/launching a 2 step MSD and methanol a no-no?

car is 2800#, powerglide, 5500 stall
does not 60' consistently on the chip? :?:

I did run into a situation like that.

SBC 377 with a RONS toilet. It did not come up to RPM on the 2 step cleanly and left line erratically. Replaced it with a starting line air cylinder for RPM control and problem went away. May have been the tune up on the Toilet?

A 2 step is the only way to fly, methanol or gas when bracket racing.

I'd look at chassis/converter/fuel system.

Sounds to me like you NEED a RONS converter HELPER!
Its a Electric Leanout w/a Pill tat you can adjust, and Its applied when the Transbrake is on.Lots of times, the B/Valve is FAT and the Car w/NOT come up on the Verter!!!

i'm running Enderle mechanical injection. thinking i'm rich on barrel valve and main pill.

ignition is old Mallory distributor and coil, maybe time for upgrade as well... car's 60', ET and MPH all over the place with no changes... :?:

Sitting on the 2step with the barrel valve wide open can cause the engine to go rich depending on how long you have to wait for the light. A starting line enhancer would help.

As you said you may already be rich to start with and that would make things worse.

David is not wrong though about looking at your chassis set-up. Have you videoed your car?

We ran enderle injection for a few years. I strongly suggest you get a Starting Line Enhancer on the car if you don't have one. It helped us out and keeps your 2 step time minimal.

have not seen or taken video of the car yet, good idea. had thought about that but too much on my plate just yet...

Starting line enhancer sounds great too..
