350 STOCK bottom end with 9.75:1 compression 1.94 1.5 cast heads milled .030 to get the compression ratio up erson 488/488 cam 232/234 duration at .050 280/290 advanced duration 108 lsa Mallory hyfire 6 and Mallory unilight distributor

what should i cut it off at it at ld like to be on the safe side i was think 6,000 would be alright

will be in a camaro with th 350 2200 stall stage 2 shift kit and 4.56 gears out back gonna run it 1/4 mile to see what it will do just wondering what you guys think on the rpm's

You better have some tall tires if you don't want to go over 6,000rpm in the 1/4. :shock:

Well i have 29.5x11.5, with 4.56 gear with small block and i turn around 6600 top end of track :!:

what do think i should cut it off at what will my stock bottom end take

You will be in the neighborhood of 6800 RPM top end.

ok what i should ask is how many rpm's will my sbc stock bottom end safley take and how far i can push it before it goes boom

Do you have a high end chip? Rev limit. I really don't think i would push a stock bottom end pased 6000. JMO

my 383 in my vega is all stock on bottom end and a set of alum factory 1.94 vette heads with no work done to them and keith black pistons ... i have 31x14.5 and 456 gears with a glide turning 6900 to 7k in the 1/4 :wink: i cringe everytime i run but she not showing any signs of failure.... still got almost 80 psi of oil pressure

alright i guess im just gonna have to go and see what sounds and feels right when i run it thanks for the help guys
