when do you need a rear end brace?
ford 9 with 4 link, 725 hp. trans brake, narrowed, 68 camaro
with 4 link I am trying to figure out why you would ever need a brace, where can it flex. I know there is a reason and thats why I am asking for your thoughts and knowledge, thanks, Eric

I don't know the answers as to when or why it's necessary to brace a rearend housing. But a couple yrs. ago when i had ART build me a Fab. 9" housing for my in process blown Anglia ( 43 1/2" axle flange to flange) when it got here it had bracing inside the housing, a bottom brace and a back brace, the 4 link brackets were also boxed. It also had a 1/4" front pumpkin mounting plate blanchard ground for flatness with 4340 bolts. I told them about 1300 HP.

There is never a time that any part can have too much bracing.Never. If i had a car with a set of slicks on it-it would be braced.Period.But I am also paranoid and my car is heavy,so...
