Just being cautious, I have not had any problem yet with this guy. Just found it strange he lives in Washington state but his Paypal email ends....com.au and his name is "very much so" from a foreign land, and not Austrailian. I just don't like being beat, so i'm a bit paranoid. He is interested in a fairly expensive item, (He's willing to pay via PayPal, "Safe for both of us " I think?) it is heavy and shipping is pretty expensive since it is clear across the country. Thanks

I would personally Haul Ass !
But, I trust people less everyday anyway.
Paypal is not necessarily "safe for both parties"

Gene, got with your gut feeling on this... the situation sounds fragile & risky. There are too many things that don't sound right/look right. JMO

Yes I PERSONALLY had a problem.
And I know I'm not the only one.
Any time you have people that make a living stealing from others, nothing is safe, especially on a computer.

A friend had an account hacked or something, someone cleared his acct balance of a couple hundred bucks, never got it back. Don't ask how, I'm not a freakin hacker. Could have been one of those redirect sites maybe.

I sent a part to a fellow and he told paypal ITEM NOT IN BOX!!!
They gave him his money back. Took it out of my balance. I think they flip a coin or something.

Anyway, I said I would haul ass, he ask our opinion and that's all it was.

But you go ahead bb and take care of the forum questions, I didn't realize I was on trial here. Just trying to participate but I don't have to.

Let him explain his different addresses/palpal.
I personally would not go for it with what you have said so far.

He's trying to make it sound like he got
Ripped off. I can assure you I have not EVER taken
One dime from no one that didn't owe it to me.
What the hell does he know about my business
Practices? I have owned and operated my business
Here for over 30 years with 5 employees and still going strong.
Business practices my ass!

It's probably been a year since I had some wheels he messaged about buying and I had just sold them locally. Of course he BITCHED about
It and still is evidently.

Not sure what that has to do with this post but I guess he felt compelled
To start something

WTF I just asked a simple question  Seriously, Thanks for everyones input. He sent me a Paypal payment but his address is unconfirmed so I'm holding off till he gets in touch with me to explain. I'm not sure what i'm going to do just yet, but i'll keeps ya's informed. Deep Breaths Guys  and MORE BEER!!!!

Harbone

yeah, unconfirmed is a bad deal. All the guy has to do is say he never got the stuff and since his address is unconfirmed, paypal offers you NO protection!
He gets a refund and you get screwed!

Thanks Scoot!
Nothing wrong with a good cold Pepsi either.
As a boy, when we would come in out of the cotton Fields my grandmaw would always have us all a Pepsi right out of the ice box with just enough slush in it. I thought it was the best thing in the world.

Probably in a glass bottle too... I bet that is a good memory. I used to drink it down about 1/3rd & fill it up w/ salted peanuts. Good stuff!!
