Hi,
I was thinking of having a set of fender tube headers for my 62 Nova Pro Street powder coated. Has anyone had this done? Do they hold up to the heat?
Thanks.

powder coating does not with stand the heat. You would have to ceramic coat them.

If you are going for looks, ceramic coat them.
Suggestion, make sure you have the your tune up correct before sending them off. I have ruined a new set by running too lean on start up.
Check out jethot coating never had a issue....

I have had issues with Jet Hot and won't use them again. I've heard nothing but good stuff about Nitro Plate. They have a black coating that is good for something like 400* more than the silver stuff. I have been told the silver coating temp rating is limited by the aluminum in it and none of the silvers hold up above 1300*.

I used jet hot and was not pleased after the first year. This time I used a company in Troy, Ohio called Aesthetic Finishers www.afipowder.com.. Took a pair of older upswepts that I thought I was wasting money to finish and they came out better than I expected. Great company and friendlystaff. They do alot of show car stuff and much more reasonable than others.
