i'm building a 383 sbc for my vega... 5000 stall convertor.. turbo 350 .. foot brake car... no electronic.... 32x14 mickey tompson slicks 5.13 gears would a "dirt" cam work ???? it is a solid roller...642 lift ... 312 duration any help would be helpful.... thanks in advance.... :roll power band is 5800 to 8200

Duration will be too big for the converter, you would need closer to 6000 stall. Look for a cam with no more than 260˚ @.050 with the converter you have, it will run much better.
