Its nasty here right now, started about an hour ago. I am not going anywhere for at least 2 days! My old plow truck is gassed up, just hope I can keep up with the white stuff but I quess it dont matter if the county road crews cant get to my blacktop!
Be careful my fellow Illinoiz Boyz, its gonna get worse before it gets better.
I got firewood, some hot chocolate (with a shot or 6 of Baileys), my laptop (good day to search for a new toy) and the wife. life is good... :D

Woooooo Hooo, it stopped Snowing,,, looks like 20'' was the total..now just the freeking wind,,damn ,, Burrr,, i went on the side of the house and I am not kidding there was a 7ft snow drift, put on my full face mask, and my 2 piece rain suit,,and my son bet me i could Dive thru it,, WELL>>I DIDNT MAKE IT, but have you ever tryed too climb out of a 7ft snow drift backwards,,that u didnt make it thru, he said it should have been a YOU TUBE video,,he was laughing so hard i think he wet his self,,LOL :P :P

They say we got 12 inches (my old lady only wishes!) but its a mess in the country here in Central Illinois! I had about a 3 foot drift 20 some feet long in my driveway. Took me about 45 minutes to bust it up and drag out me amd my neighbors driveways with my plow truck. I dont have anywhere to push the stuff, its just everwhere. Now they say 30mph winds all day, high tomorrow 8, low is supposed to be -8 and that doesnt include the wind chill! I have 59 days till we head to Vegas, Cant get here fast enough!

The blizzard came in about 5pm on tuesday and and finally cleared us at about 9am on wednesday. Officially in our area we had 22" of snow with 60 mph winds. Some areas recorded winds in excess of 70 mph. Now here on Thursday the temps are 2 degrees below zero and with the windchill is 20 below. Damn glad i'm a retired street foreman watching from my living room window!!

They just had a chevy 4 door truck hit the wall on a bridge here in N/E oklahoma. on the Will rogers Turnpike, and went over the wall and landed up right, in the river, the river was only 4ft deep, there were 6 or 8 people in the truck, iam hering that 2 or 3 didnt make it,,

Well my dad use to make me cut the grass and rake the leaves. LOL

I'd hate to live up north and deal with the snow / cold temps. It's 35 here this morning and I'm ready for summer and 95 degree weather.

DD if I had a camera I would take a pic or 2. the hills we gotta climb are at least 200ft from base to top and there are 2 of them we have to walk up. I actually had pics but my camera got stolen before I could download them to my computer.

Had a fun day in the cold yesterday. I get a call at work from my niece that her water had frozen. I leave work, pick up a forced air propane heater and head to her house. No problem, 45 minutes later water is flowing.

I look at the time, it's only noon so I tell my wife I'm not going to take the rest of the day off, I'm going back to work. I had been driving my truck, (2 wheel drive), but since my wife didn't go in to work I'm going to take the Navigator since it has 4 wheel drive. Just recently bought this used and dummy me I didn't check to see if it had a jack, NOPE!

There I am sitting with no jack. I call the wife to come get me then realize I have both sets of keys to my truck in my coat. Lucky for me her Audi TT is all wheel drive so she is able to get it out of the driveway without to much trouble.

I had bought an electric jack to keep in the Audi for her but it won't lift the stinking Navigator. We head down to Napa and buy a jack and I finally get everything squared away. Not to bad, 2hrs, 15°, 20mph wind. :shock: :shock: I thought this was Oklahoma? I decided not to go to work after all :lol: :lol: Sometimes you just have to laugh things off because it could have been a lot worse.
