I accidentally threw away the title to a car I purchased years ago while I was moving from one state to another (very embarrassing). It was a project that has never been completed but I need to get the title back in order to sell. Here is the catch, when I purchased the car I never officially signed it to my name and had it registered with the DMV. Does anyone know any companies that could help me out with obtaining the title?? The car is from ’67. Or if the DMV could actually could do something to help?

You will probably have to get a hold of the person you bought it from since its still in there name, thats not a good deal in any state...

I have used Maine-ly Titles and Broadway - Which now have some level of afiliation. It cost me 400 beans for my 60 Apache. May need to do it again; tried the go back to prior owner thing, and as expected they have other things more important to do than help a stranger.
Maine-ly Titles was pretty good.

if you know the name and info from the org. owner and if you have a friend with a used car lot or licensed garage.... they can file for it and it will be sent to their shop

the DMV here in texas said it would be 500 bucks plus as soon
as it crossed the state border (coming from another state) i would
have 2 wks to have the car inspected and tagged and insured,
to be legal, or 150 bucks for same tx title copy, now thats here
in tx, good luck
