Guys I will be off here for awhile. I have been getting calls again from a R/J person ,and he is threatening me and harassing me over the phone.
He must see me posting on here. This is the same person that did it last time. I have once again reported it to the police and they told me to stay off here, till they take care of it.
They have a trace on my line so they do know who it is. Sorry its been fun. He won for now but I do plan to press charges.

i was just wondering the same thing? if tey are blocking their number..... you can set you phone so it wont accept any blocked number..... hell you wont even hear it ring.... works very nice :wink:

He is just simply doing as he was asked to do by the authorities who are handling the problem. Hopefully it is resolved soon and he gets the green light to come back and hang out.

Only problem with that is all your contacts that have your current would have to be notified of your change. I have a lot of people that have my number and changing it would be a nightmare. JMO

Being an Ex-Police Officer I can say from experience that you can and will have a warrant signed for your arrest for screwing around on the telephone with someone
The basic charge is " Unlawful Use of the Telephone " When you start putting Threats on top of it other charges can be applied...I Know this 1st hand because I have signed and executed several of these warrants in the past.
Same goes for the internet so be very careful what you say to someone if your the emotional type you may not like the visit you get Next from the local authorities.
So let me give the person some helpful advise that is Calling Goomba..If your reading this save yourself a lot of heartache and stop what your doing..its gonna cost you Big time if its pursued.

Well Guys thats why its Good to think before you type..99.999% of us will never meet in person but at the same time you just dont know who you are talking to or who is talking back at you..Thats why I tell anyone/everyone to not discount what people say or type..you just never know who that Nut case may be...thats the Ex-cop in me talking.
With that said I respect and understand more why the Classifieds went to a pre-approval screening process...same kind of process facebook uses for user protection

We did change things way before you and most others came along on here Sam.
Long ago anyone could come to the forum and just start posting..Tom made it so anyone that came to the forum had to sign in before you could even see the posting screen.
Of course when you sign in we ( mods/admin) can see you hidden or Not, the old way No-one could see people coming in posting...this was a field day for trouble makers

well good changes take time and if they make it more fun and safer for everyone im all for it cause if thay dont wanna take the time to do profiles and misc other stuff then my opinion maybe they shouldnt be here

good debate Question..but who is to say the pic is of you ?
everything has gotten so legal touchy climate you cannot just do anything..if you remember I use to post up IP addresses ON DOUBLE POSTERS...well this can't be done any longer based on privacy laws..Now thats not to say I do not pull them and if i have a match I will post them up on it and/or pm that person...

OK I Gotcha I do not spend as much Time on RJ Classifieds as I use to since you have to send friend request. but I agree some of the profile pics I have seen were posted right out of the slut magazines...But at the same time you DO NOT want a censorship happening,,,so with the Friend reqest in place and possible a warning Box saying "Explicit Material must be over 18 to View"...this way we all keep our Choice to view and Post..
I thought I saw the word AVATAR which I was thinking your profile on the forum and how to proper identify people since we were on this subjet.

I think everything works just fine the way it is. If you think somebodys pic's are a little to much just defriend them. If you think you can keep your kid from seeing porn if they have computer access think again. its up to you the parent to watch what there looking at. Its out there and just a couple clicks away.example...youporn.

Goomba is working on the hot rod getting ready for all the snow to melt off and race. He may be ready now but opening day is not until April. He might just actually be sitting in his car making motor noises at this point!!! :lol:
