I have not kept up on Racing junk for a while. I recently posted up some parts for sale and started to get friend requests thru the messaging tool? Can someone enlighten me as to what that is? Thanks!

It is members wanting to become friends with you :!:

Yea, same thing here!
I got like 8 request the other day, that is the most at a time since 3-2003
I don't have a problem with it (I can always use another friend), but I was wondering the same thing.
Does RJ want us all to be BFF's  :)

with private profiles people can see what cars you have if you have long time friends or even more pics of what your selling for some it may be a comfort thing

Guy's all this friend stuff started when RJ made profiles private :!: They have to be on your friend's list to see your profile :!: :!: Personally i don't like the private profile thing, If i want mine private then i did have the option of making it that way :!: But not anymore RJ did it for us

I liked it the other way too
I thought I was being spammed or something the other day though.
It was like an internet storm or something as soon as I would approve one, another would be there. Like I said no problem, I was just wondering too 8)

Well, IMHO, too many of the 'public' profiles were getting to look like porn than cars. Setting them automatically to private REDUCES the unsuspecting gearhead CHILD from being exposed to even more than what is already out there.
I'm an admirer of pretty women but more and more, 'class' is being EXcluded. Personally I've just defriended 3 profiles who had way more pics of T&A than their hotrods. I always check out those profiles who want to 'friend' me and if it looks like all they're doing is collecting T&A profiles, I 'deny' them.
The key word here,IMHO, is C-l-a-s-s. There IS none anymore.

ok, so it dont sound all that bad. If I accept friend requests then I am basically not risking anything I'm guessin.
