do i have enough travel in these shocks

im installing the calvert traction bars and the caslvert 2 piece mono leaf springs on my 67 nove. it is a fully tubbed car with 14 inch slicks runs around 10.90-11.00 consistently. calvert recommends the rancho adjustsable shocks with his equipment and they nhave 6-7 inches of movement, i have a brand new set of strange coilover shocks that are single adjustable but they only have 5 1/4 inches of travel. what are your opinions about using these shocks with such a short travel. calvert says to try them and set the ride height of the shock at 1 1/2 inches from bottom, giving me about 3 3/4 inches of upowards travel thanks for help guys art

i dont know if i would trust extension i personally would run what the manufacture recomends the know what works best
