We've had 20+ inches in four days last week. But with the ground so warm and sunshine today it's down to about 8". Suppose to start getting hammered again on Monday and temps going down. Brrr. Spring can't get here soon enough.
I know you guys that are south and east are getting their fair share too it sounds like.

No snow here, but i'm almost afraid to say that, it's been cold here compared to normal. In fact i had planned to go up to Batesville Ms. today to my other house, to do some work, but delayed my trip until after Xmas due to the cold up there. Funny thing is that i lived in and around Chgo. for 25 yrs. got tired of the cold, then moved to Phx. for 22 yrs, got tired of the heat, now i'm confused, maybe Florida next, but i'm tired of selling realastate and sometime losing money.

Friday night I was talking to Beast on my cell phone as I was driving up to TN.....As we were speaking I came across a 2 day old snow ( dusting) still on side of the road (I-40)..I was STOKED and I think Beast got a Kick out of it. We don't see much of the Snow stuff where I live...when I was a young kid we did but not now

started home (Saturday) tonight about 9:30pm...ran into some Flurries up around the North Carolina/ TN border...I think they are calling for some snow in the Tn area I was at tomorrow night

24 this morning when I looked. Was probably colder. 20 mph winds. My left nipple broke clean off and i can't find it and worried about what's next to freeze off :shock:

Been plowing snow for 3 days, a couple of 2 hour cat naps, all good roughly about 10-12 in. but the wind chill in bad -12 deg. the worst is 3am to 5 am in the morning. Sorry babbling, need rest :lol:

3 weeks ago my furnace was still running, now its 86 with a heat index of 96! I still prefer warmth over cold any damn day. this was the view from the front of my driveway just 4 months ago, screw that white stuff!!

Then again, beads of sweat running up & down your CRACK & BACK over & over while trying to work upside down fixing wiring & working around a cage is truly an amazing thing.... only to forget turning on the cut-off switch in the back of the car at the same time. Just thought i would weigh in on this thread, it's been 98 to 100 everyday for the last 8 days here. My AC quit working on the 29th, (right) he day before labor day, no service available, it was 97 degrees in my house at 6:00 PM on monday the 30th (labor day), i finally got it up and running and by midnite it was 85 degrees, i've bandaided it all last week and have been able to get it below 82 degrees in the evening and nite. I may have to go with a new compressor and condessor, plus fan motor, close to $1,000.00 which i can't afford. It's been a miserable week and the temp. is still in the high 90's, 100 today. The older i get the tougher i get and i will surive. Christ i grew up the south and 60/70 yrs. we didn't know what AC was, but then ofcourse i got spoiled and am now suffering. I WILL SURVIVE.

mr zip, your a hell of a lot tougher than i am.i would have slept in the car with the air runnin.up into the late 80s i never knew it was hot outside. i just did what i wanted to do hot or cold.never paid the weather any mind.now if it get over 70 outside im lookin for shade.my shop was 120 inside yesterday.and i worked on a car out there.but i almost had to crawl back to the house.i was so weak man im turnin into a pus--!!lol

Zip, that would be miserable. I use to love the heat. 100 and I didn't care. The older I get the less I like the 95's and above. I does seam to tire me out a lot quicker than it use to. However the heat is just a part of living in the south from May to September. I swear I don't remember it being in the 95, 96+ range in early to mid May when I was younger.
