i got a mini alternator that i did up 1 wire and mounted low in my chevette. anyways its gonna be a limited street/ track car. i`ve got a electric fan, msd, fuel pump, and my lights/directionals. i`ve got a optima battery . car might see 30 miles a week on the street. whats the thoughts on running only a 40 amp alternator.....its small, light...cool.. maybe trouble.

i gotta laugh a bit..its off a fork truck. i think its gm based. i`ve got a fabbed up bracket on the power steering boss holes and i have a chrome , large, semi horshoe adjustable arm that was meant to be used on a top mount set up in 1 original alternator boss in the head....looks a little odd first glance but the traditional low mount you buy wont fit my chassis. anyways.. i`m a little concerned if i take it to some cruise nites with no charge in between... 40 amps i would think should run ignition, fan, pump, and lights.

not enough, you need an 85 amp 1 wire GM.
