i aquired a new gen 6 block with all the compontents. the block just needs machining . all good after market parts. this come with a car i bought. any thoughts on a gen 6 engine. the block was bought new from summit racing. thanks

The Gen6 block is pretty good. A lot of big name builders use them.

ok, i just sent the crank out today to get checked out , im going with the build. the engine is going in a tube chassie vega. im investing a lot in a new car so i just want the right engine for this build . thanks for the reassurance. ray

Yeah I think the one to avoid is the GEN 5. I am only repeating what I've read.no personal experience with anything other than MARK IV
