Racing in April down south

I am planning on heading to Vegas in April 2011 to watch the National event and am going to bring my car down for some test and tune afterwards. Race season opens way too late up here in Canada. Does anyone know of tracks around NV and AZ that a guy could run at in April? Just for T&T or some bracket racing.

I know that around 10 miles from my house is a 1/4mi strip. But that is close to Reno which is around 5-8 hours northwest of Vegas.
