Cool pics. One of them has gas at $.20!!
Yea, those were probably some of the best times other than the depression of course.
Do you know any of the people in the pics?
I was recently given a picture of my Grandfather working in a Cadillac parts dept in 1932. I was more shocked to know my Grandfather worked for GM than how old the pic was.

Thanks for sharing, very cool.
I'm still trying to figure what the car on the platform was, it kinda looks like the a chassis dyno or something, anybody know for sure?

It's a service ramp. I guess I'm old enough to remember when every gas station had one outside. Still see a few around from the 60's and 70's (not being used) at some old stores and gas stations.
I just noticed one of the signs says Mt. Vernon. Isn't that one town over from Mayberry?? ( Andy Griffith for you younger guys. lol)

Very nice pics! One more thing to remind me of how times used to be.
I often imagine myself being able to snap my fingers and being back in the good ole days!

And then you wake up to a NIGHTMARE & say "where the hell am I???" Who is this Obama dude... & why does our Flag look like it came off a Pepsi can???? what do you MEAN my kid's have to walk through a METAL DETECTOR at School???
We live in the WRONG generation gentlemen!! Have anyone read the new article in Chevy High Performance about protecting our Hot Rod/HP hobby rights?? It was scary... the government is starting to encroach on our hobby... glad I don't live in California.
