I looked at a 57 belair today , paint & body looks wise I would say 8 out of 10..... chrome same, interior restored looks great. the rub is this, powertrain is not period correct. great looking hotrod, it is what im looking for. it is not a true pure resto. any guess on what it would be worth. Im thinking 15-17 k....what you guys think. I havent given it the fine tooth rust check yet ,but will not make it a low ball issue just a go no factor after negotiation of price

An 8 out of 10 is a nice local show car,BUT until you get under it with a flashlight, you could be missing rust that means the value changes.Otherwise you may have a car worth in the mid 20's on a good day. fishmanjoe

There is one here in Oregon by my work that was at 20K. It is a restored 57 2dr post. I would say the body is a 7 (its painted black). The car is now at 17.5K & still there. Good int, SBC/4spd, decent car, but they should have done a little more fine body work prior to painting it black. Good luck!!
