I AM GOING TO GO OUT ON A LIMB AND GUESS...It looks like to me the point was made....his info posted...he was shown to be a crook,and he stopped responding so it just turned into a social type thread where we were just bashing him for the fun of it....nothing wrong with that but not the purpose of the scammer section.I say that only because I have seen TOM say that many times...be constructive in that section,socialize in the other sections...Again, just a guess.

I agree 100% with Blownalky3, there are a lot of other deals on here that had a ton more feedback (engine shop in vegas comes to mind) and they were not locked.????????????????????????????????????????

I spoke with novatoy regarding this thread and our head deal. He has told me he will come see me his next visit to Vegas to clear up our misunderstanding on what springs were supposed to be with the heads. He also said that he has little knowledge of the motor deal and was just stating that they should work it out. I hope PC gets something so he is not out 9k.

Scammers need to be "brought to light" on every forums they are on,
not just the forum they committed the scam on.

To answer your question,I would have to say that it was of little to no class to try and drag an attorney into the mix.The man makes it seem like there is no legal recourse for the buyer.He tries to down play the damage and misrepresentation of the motor.The stuff he wrote and said was not a big deal like the broken block ,heli coils,excessive weight welded to the crank flange and so on is rediculous.iIf it is such a good deal and the problems are minimal,maybe this guy should take it off the current owners hands.

i don't know if members do have a right to know why a post is locked. is it the best intrest of RJ not to have scammers , rip off's on the site -YES. woulnd'nt take much time for RJ to say the reason a thread is locked on the last post. is it ok to bring dirty laundry from another site here. i'd have to say yes if that person is trying to sell to members here on RJ. after all this is feedback (good or bad) & scammer watch

Perhaps that is why the thread was locked- Maybe a deal was being put together to rectify but the seller wanted the forum discussion halted.

I am not saying thats the case- but something like that could be going on and the Mods might not be able to say anything.

We just don't know but we do know the Mods and thats why I was saying let's trust their judgement.

Flip though the pages of threads and see how many got locked. Some I fully understand i.e too much smack talk, bs etc. But there are quite a few now locked with no explanation. And the ones I refer to as knowing why, they put it right on there they locked it and why. All of these others ?????????????????
