Most market chickens go from chicks to slaughter in 8 weeks, you decide...

Hey mytmouz
I googled this on sat. nite and it's comes up 6 weeks, reaching 4 lbs. claims of no steroids, but breed to grow bigger and faster, and they live in a space the size of an 8 1/2"X11" average.
Zip.

Depends on the slaughter company, but the bigger birds like the drum in the pic will be larger than 6 weeks. 6 week birds are mostly restaurant/school sized proportionally. In the market, your customers are buying the looks, and the big uns look better, at the restaurant/school end, they are serving a piece, and buying by weight...

Dam that is a big a$$ leg, must of been a 9 weeker.
