*** Warning, save yourself the trouble of dealing with 622paul ***

I purchased a long block from 622paul, it was advertised as having only 20 passes on it and it is ready to go 1080hp, and he said it has never been damaged.
I received the engine and removed the heads and oil pan for inspection of the bearings, rings, lifters, etc. So far I have found the following items that are either damaged or not as advertised:

1 Broken front mounting boss on the block.
2 Block broken under front passenger side of intake manifold.
3 Holes in block with stripped threads.
4 Holes in block with heli coils.
5 Block bore was supposed to be 4.60”, is actually 4.625” (max recommended by manufacturer is 4.60”).
6 Oil pan is heavily damaged, two corners dented in, and bottom of oil pan smashed to the point were the oil pump pickup has almost gone through the oil pan.
7 Oil pan was suppose to be a Jeff Johnston ball bearing pan, I don’t know what brand it is but it has doors instead of the balls.
8 It has the wrong head gaskets, and they are blown out between the cylinders.
9 Wrong head studs, several studs only go through the head about 1/8”, they put the nuts on and only captured about 1/8” of threads.
10 Front passenger corner of the engine shows signs of being dropped or hit on the block and head casting, and head stud nut is smashed.
11 Rocker arms are a different ratio than advertised.
12 Cam is not the specs that were advertised.
13 Cam is not even the brand that was advertised.
14 Connecting rods are not the length that was advertised, the block has been decked about 0.080” and I think that is why they used a shorter rod than what is typical in this engine.
15 7 of the 16 lifters are unusable.
16 Connecting rods are aluminum and were supposed to be new, the serial numbers come back to 1997 vintage and have been damaged on the big end on a couple rods, they evidently also changed out a couple rods and switched cylinders on a couple.
17 No flexplate was included, was supposed to have a CSR flexplate.

All this and I haven't taken apart the short block or disassembled the heads yet.

I just want to get my money back from him and I'll send the engine back. I've contacted him several times by phone and emails, and he says that he doesn't have the money to send back to me. Well... when the engine came up for sale, I didn't have the money either, but I sold some stuff to come up with it.
If he wants to make this right, he can come up with the money.

I bought a ARC Switch Panel from him I believe in 06. I just had it sitting waiting for the car to be completed. When we went to wire it up, not a single switch worked. It was basically trash. And Paul, here's what you NEED to know. You are the agent Sport. You are the party that coordinated and it could be said arranged the deal and you are responsible.

I have our Corporate Attorney checking on a deal with regard to a title on a car I am looking at and I am going to pass this case by him just because you're ticking me off. Any info I get is passed to the buyer.

You got attitude Big Boy and are trying to be tough and are making threats. Read the thread on Mike2124 - he took the same approach and I believe he is in jail right now.

So while you are talking smack and feeling like a big dog, I am going to be checking to see how the buyer can come after YOU quickly, cost effectively and painfully.

I will be in my attorney's office on Monday, and I will be passing info I have on Tuesday, and perhaps case papers will be filled within 5 days.

If you were ready and willing to make $500 on turning the motor, you surely are on the hook for the stated condition. How is that $500 looking now? You can be cocky all you want, but these guys here will keep you in misery forever and there is a very good chance you will be doing time if you do not make this right. These issues, some not really issues and some that can be corrected, would have been better handled by working with he previous owner. Instead, you chose to put this issue on a public forum. As a result, you have caused an incitement of many people that have neither any direct knowledge of this engine or the disposition of the sale or they have no knowledge personally of 622paul (622paul does not attend church). This incitement of others on this public forum has resulted in many negative postings that appear to be undue and malicious attacks on the character of 622paul, his knowledge of the motor sport industry, his expertise in high performance parts and engines, to his personal integrity and his legitimate right to conduct business. The nature of the comments, with you as the gensis of these negative comments, are libelous. The definition of libel is "any false and malicious written or printed statement, or any sign picture, or effigy tending to expose a person to public ridicule, hatred, or contempt or to injure his reputation in any way". Both you and others making comments are participating in libelous actions that are subject to legal consequences. In the past, libel has been difficult to prove. However, these attacks are now in writing as listed on Yellow Bullit. I would suggest that you call 622paul and discuss what measures need to be completed on this motor and move on. I believe that when you finish this motor in about a month, you will be very happy with the results. Now, go and do the right thing

He commented on three threads before this on YB. Bigred is a total assclown. If he wants to keep a motor that had that much damage, he should pluck down the 9k himself.

Well, I have done it now. I have irritated novatoy63 on YB and he is going to come kick my ass. It seems even though he sold me some heads with springs that wouldn't support the cam in my Daughters Jr Dragster, it is my fault and I am a cry baby?????????????????????????????????????

I have been waiting for him to make good as he said he would, but I guess that is out. Oh wait, that was over 3 years ago he said he would make it right. Time flies. The first post from PCRAT was right on, WHY CAN'T PEOPLE JUST SEND WHAT YOU PAY FOR? And somehow he thinks its my fault and I am the only person he has had a problem with. Believe me I made the call to Sacramento. Unfortunatly it was after the heads arrived. I was hoping to get the springs & ti retainers he owes me, but that seems like a stretch
