I'm not a real mechanic, I have a 350 sb ' with radiator liquid in the oil pan what can it be ?

It can be a number of things. It can be a blown head gasket or a cracked block, cracked head it is hard to tell.

Well how is the engine running? Is it rough wont stay running or run smooth like there is nothing wrong with it? You can also do a compression test of the cylinders to see if there is one or two that is a lot lower than the rest.

Just thought of this does the radiator stay full??

Could be a leaking intake manifold.
Try pressure checking the cooling system. Autozone rents pressure testers. If that doesn't narrow it down then do a compression check. You might also pull the plugs and see if there are any that are wet. That could narrow it down to one cylinder or one bank.

I bought the car here off of racing junk, drain the oil two quarts of clear water came out first followed by thick sluggie light brown liquid, radiator was not empty 3/4 full

What year engine, is it stock! if its an L 31 these engine are known to blow intake manifold gaskets( lower plenum gasket) need more info.

What fuel are you running, sounds like you might have a bad milking problem if the radiator still has water in it.

I think if he has 2 quarts of water/antifreeze in the oil pan, pretty sure it's NOT a milking problem.

Potential problems, from bad to worse.

1) blown intake gasket
2) blown head gasket
3) cracked head
4) cracked block
5) all the above

Break the tools out, this aint gonna be a $6 can stop leak fix.

I'd start by pulling intake, u might get lucky if it's just a leaking intake gasket, if not - start yanking heads and so on.

pulled one head and intake i'll see what happens when i put it back together thanks , keep u guys posted

why only pull one head? if you do one do both. then you can be sure the same problem doesnt exist on both sides. dig until you find.

Definitely pull the other head. If you don't find a problem, you haven't done anything except wasted time. There is a leak, so check the head gaskets and the cylinders to see where the leak was. There should be an obvious problem. If the gaskets look good then you have a crack somewhere. Did you run the engine at all? If you did, was there white smoke from one side?

pulled one head #2 cylinder had water in it. I did crank the motor i ran it for about 2to3 min,no smoke probably did not run it long enough. i got to put every thing back together and see what happens, I am learning as i go, so what is the best way to adjust the rockers.

Was the head gasket damaged on #2 cylinder? Usually you can tell from the condition of the head gasket. Sometimes from discoloration on the block where it was leaking.

some, not to convincing, I wanna blame it on the intake manifold the water ports on the head is rusted more like water wasn,t traveling in that direction when it should have if the motor was over heating
