Bigray, congrats on the buy. I believe I have seen that car a time or 2 and it is a nice car. Good luck to the boy with the new car. If I may offer a suggestion, if he does not have an experienced driver to teach him to drive the slip joint car it would be a very good investment to get him to one of the driving schools. Slip joints can be a handful to drive and well, there is a huge difference between that junior and the big car. Hope he enjoys success with the new car.

I have done a little dealin with Mike too and he is a super nice guy. My only complaint is I spend to much time bench racing when I go to his house...lol...

Like Shawn said, the schools that you take your own car to are right at a grand I think and would be a great investment.

i hear ya.on the going to school...but i think we will just start out slow,,and move up.this year will be just a lot of test and tuning.and getting very comfortable in the big dragster,,,more like just go out and have a good time,,and just drive down the track...

Have your or the kid drove a big dragster? If not, you need to get him with someone at the track that is experienced with slip joints. One wrong move snapping the pedal or hitting the brake too hard and the kid will put that car in a bounce. Too often I see parents without experience bring their child from the junior ranks, stuff them in a car and the kid not realize the power and response that the car will give them. I am not sure what your experiences are but taking it slow is a real good start. With the slip joint the kid needs to learn throttle control and being able to stop the car without getting into the brake pedal too hard.

(( learn throttle control )) heck its drag racing.. flat on the floor..NO IAM JUST KIDDING.!!!! .I really do appeciate yours and everybody elses concerns.i fully plan on starting him out slow,,and lots of chat time with other dragster drivers,me,my self,I am a door car kinda guy,i drove a altered a few times and i didn't like it,at all. heck i dont even like sitting in a dragster, much less driving one..give me a door car or a drag bike,,i wont drive a dragster or a altered, but i will strap on a 9 sec bike or a high 8sec door car any day.funny HU.  but i may try a little harder to drive a dragster..now that we own one !!

Just report his ad .. you look worse posting what you did. Scares people away from doing buisness with you in the future JMO

as I am sure you know 4.70 1/8th doesnt equal 7.70 1/4 ... 4.70 1/8th doesnt equal 140MPH

Guys the way i see it Im buying a turnkey car and selling to make a few bucks on the side (not getting rich just enjoy wheelin and dealin)! know people say make me a offer and if im interested I make them a offer! its up to them to sell it! Ive bought cars from people and if its making a few dollars turnkey its gone! if i feel its something to part out and make alittle then I part it out! But you know everyone that I have done some dealin with seems to be real happy with what they get and the price! I can say this in the last couple of years Ive had no trouble what so ever selling cars or parting them out, so my prices must be pretty damn fair in today economy! So i must not be to bad of a guy to do business with!

thumbs up to mike... i bought a pair of edelbrok upswept headers for my bbc from him. we both agreed on a price and i bought them... the most important part of our deal to me was that when they were delievered that they would be as he described them to be and they were...also, theres no crime in buying and selling to make a profit:just don't misrepresent what your selling...

ooh there was no way i could have bought the dragster i got from mike turn key,but with him buying it.. and selling the roller and selling the motor,it was just in my price range for a killer roller and he even made me a great deal on the Dedenbear case trans also. heck we all buy and sale,,and we all try to make a little,,if you dont want people to make you a offer,,THAN DO NoT PUT,, MAKE ME A OFFER,,,,DUHHH, if you wanna sale it,, than put a price on it,,and then start to haggle on it..just my 2 cents worth..also a side note, i put a few shake down passes on the dragster and my son went 137 out the back door his first pass, lifting and pumping,..Ray
