454 EFI in 1984 chevy

Howdy i am new to this forum, i live in san antonio texas and am 17, my hobby is mud trucks, i have a 1984 chevy silverado w/8in of lift and 35in boggers. The truck has had a bone stock 350, took it out. Then was a built 350, took it out. Now has a capable 500hp 383... havent taken it out but i want to because i found a deel on a 454 bbc out of a 1997 chevy, it is fuel injection and i have never delt with fuel injection before so i am hesitant to buy the motor knowing that it is goin to be a cluster of wiring i am goin to have to do, and yes i know bone stock they only push like 350hp 365ft lbs but it wont be stock forever and i wanna put that 383 back into our drag truck.

leave the small block and get the 454 to put in the drag truck
u can make much more power with more big blocks alot easier
theres no replacement for displacement lol
but yea the stock 454s that year didnt put out no 350 hp more like 280 or so and like 330 tq but u can spend the same amount as u did on the 383 and make prolly 650 hp
