It should be noted that while the 3/4 cam has a nice lopey idle in a regular small block motor, when installed into a corvette motor,it will seem much more mild.

thats because that vette motor is so radical that it even tames the cam

Have you ever noticed how many guys have Corvette engines in their hot rods? My question, so, obviously there must be a lot of corvettes with no engines?

Dave,
That is a good one! Not trying to 'jack the thread, just reminded me of a 'vette story that happened to me a couple weeks ago.

BTW, this is NOT a plug for my generator.....but if you want to ask about it......................

I swear this is the truth........I have a heavy duty 30hp, 62.5amp generator for sale on CL Charlotte....Bought new, near $3k...asking $1700 on CL...I have lsted will trade as well....Guy calls me, says I have seen your stuff on here before, and asks if I am into old cars.....Of course I said yes, but only Chevy....He proceeds to tell me that he has a heck of a sweet deal for my generator.....He has a set of, now they need to be rebuilt, double hump heads off of a CORVETTE motor he would be willing to trade for the generator..............I asked how much cash is in the deal......He tells me!!!!!!! Oh, I will just trade them even, I know they are expensive and you "draggers" like them.......I then hung up.

If you have an extra corvette engine laying around, I have an original 66 vette to put it in. It's an original ALL STEEL car. Not one of those figerglass corvette repilcas. :D

Just send cash, unmarked bills, to my po box. :D

hell half the reason i like old cars is cause of the technlogical advances on performance drivin by the aftermarket!!! imagine if there was no dart,brodix,afr,etc........

the old stuff is great, but my opinion for me is its gotta go as fast or faster than it looks
