My Friend who I work with (his name is Hanns) was driving our BowTech Archery truck & trailer to dealer shows today (he is Delaware now) got an bad phone call today while on the road... his wife collapsed walking her dogs today around their home in Arkansas on a sidewalk. she was unresponsive when the paramedic's revived her. I arranged for him park the semi & trailer @ one of my dealers shops so he could get to the airport & get home. His wife (Michelle, 43) had a heart-attack... she appeared to be in great shape before this happened.

Hanns can't get a flight back to Arkansas until the AM. The last report from him was that he gave the Doctors emergency permission to do an immediate surgery... she is not expected to make it... Hanns may not get there in time to say goodbye. Her prognosis is grim....

Let me tell you boys, what a night-mare. We are a Christian company here & I said I would get anyone who will listen to pray for Hanns & Michelle right now. Hanns is a good man & also a Vet... tough to see him go through this. I will give an update in the AM when I know the outcome. Talk to you then. Thanks, Scooter

UPDATE:

Thanks for your prayers guys!!! it means a lot...

Hanns is back in AR now & w/ his wife Michelle. They are doing an Angioplasty on her now. She has tubes everywhere... Hanns said he called her name & she tried to reach out a hand to touch him, but there are too many things in the way. She cannot talk, they don't know if her brain is working well yet... or if she is paralyzed on one side either... many unknowns still. Hanns is pretty broken. He said keep on praying... at least he is there w/ her now.

Prayers working!!!!

Michelle has 60% blockage, Doc's put in 2 stints, she is still on life-support, & semi-coherent now.

She opened her eyes for the first time today & Squeezed Hanns hand shortly after surgery just a while ago. She is not able to talk due to the airway being used for life support.

I am seeing good signs!!! Keep up the prayers!! Thanks!!

I'll be praying for him.I got a call one time like that,it was about my daughter when we got to the hospital they basically told us there was nothing they could do.She walked out the door that morning and I had no idea that was the my last good bye.She had a car wreck on her way home 2 weeks before her graduation she was 18. A spouse is at least as bad or worse I've been told. You CANNOT take life for granted.

Gentlemen, here's a weekend update:

Thanks so much... means a lot to me & Hanns & his wife Michelle. Heart Attacks are spooky!! Again, she is 43 & in good shape... this can happen to me, you & many others...

Michelle is fighting hard... she is tough. As you can imagine, she has many meds, tubes, machines, etc.... stuck to her. Every time she wakes up, she forgets why she is there & kind of freaks out... so to speak. If Hanns is not right there next to her, she is trying to get out of bed ripping tubes from her in a pursuit to find him. She cannot speak... but I think she is trying... part of the trouble may be the meds too. Hanns has to remind her every time she wakes up that she had a heart attack & why she is there to calm her down. All in all, she is fighting & surviving.

Again, your prayers are working!!! I am learning that things are pretty good in my world right now... next time I am not going to "flip out" if someone cuts me off in traffic... or have a bad day at work. I have my health, my wife, kids, etc... things are not too bad. Dpassmore: I am very sorry about your daughter. I cannot even begin to understand how that feels... but I sure am glad you are here with us all right now. We must keep hope & press on... cause life is tough sometimes. Scoot

Mopar, I had forgotten momentarily that you had one not so long ago... glad you are here with us brutha.

I think Michelle is in position to be getting more stabilized at this point. From here on, I think it will be all about damage assessment & recovery. I think she may be out of the woods so to speak. Right now she is on so many meds it is hard to distinguish what is her or what is just the meds making her so goofy. I will keep you posted...

Hey Guys,

Michelle is on a ventilator still. This of course limits some things such as talking. The meds are absolutely WILD... not sure what they are giving her, but sometimes when she wakes up, she rips Hanns up one side & down the other for no reason. Other times, she is sweet & herself. All & all, she is looking at getting out soon. She will need some therapy, work on motor skills, etc... but she is healing. they had to install a mini/internal pace maker too. This is something they will want to keep an eye before they let her go.

Bottom line, we have gone from "don't know if she will make it through the night" to she will be getting out & working on having a quality of life again!! I am dead serious when i say thank for your prayers... you can't tell me that God is not working in this situation. if I were to become ill, I would want you guys praying for me. Doctors & science are great, but so are God's angels too. Thanks again. I will keep you posted. Scoot

Thanks Gentlemen.

Let me tell you something.... the doctors are very surprised of her recovery... the fact that she lived altogether. Not only that, her recovery thus far is amazing in itself to the doctors. Make no mistake, everyone here at work has asked a friend, relative, Church, you guys, etc... to pray about this situation. It is how God works that is causing this to happen. The doctors can only do so much; then it is up to the patient to fight with God' s grace along the way. I believe that prayers somehow do work...this is why Michelle is alive today.... plain & simple... that is what I believe. I can't explain how it works, not smart enough to figure it out, but it is working!!! The answers of why she is alive can't be explained by science, or simple medicine, or by a surgery, etc... they were needed for sure, but by all rights doctors are surprised she is alive & cannot explain it exactly.

I am told in matter of a few days now, she will be taken home. She will be able to talk, even walk (even though she is a little weak), & she will be off the ventilator. She will suffer from some memory loss, which she might retain back over time. she will begin living again...

I can say that she is a tough lady, "really lucky", or that she had really good care in the nick of time.... whatever. This is a spiritual miracle that happened. I think these things happen all over... & many people pass them off as coincidences, or the right set of circumstances to create a positive outcome. Make no mistake, it is the hand of God that is working in this healing. It is a lot of people praying, it is the lack of the enemies power to take her this time.

Being a believer is not easy in this world. The Bible says "it is impossible to please God without faith". Lets mark this miracle down in our memories right now that WE DO believe... God made a miracle in Michelle's life & I choose to believe that you guy's helped make that happen. Thanks to you all & keep up the great work. This is what really matters at the end of a day.... I almost forgot- thanks for reminding me.

It is easy sometimes to take for granted the miracles seen all the time. They can be jaded by the disappointments the world offers... but this one goes into the books of miracles.

Michelle is walking, talking & spending time recovering at home. She will make a 100% recovery. It will take some time w/ motor skills to be brought back to normal, but hey... she is getting around fine.

They told me she was dead for almost 3 minutes at the scene before she was revived. She was not expected to make it that night... I am convinced everyone pulling together in agreement/prayer has really helped. Because of this event, she will actually live longer now because of the stints & work done to her heart... what a blessing. scooter
