Pink's arm drop cancelled !!

Rich cancelled Pink's arm drop at last minute, Racers on site ready to race, expense of traveling, race car's ready, go to www.bristoldragway.com and read what he done. This race was setup in january.

Yeah the sad thing is there were racers there thursday from all over the eastern sea board, traveled many miles, camping, lost vacation day's, time off from work, And not to mention, entry fee's, Must buy tickets from ticket master to race, so how do you get a refund? To my knowledge they don't do refunds just credit. I could be wrong and i hope i am :!: :!:

I gave up on Pinks after the first season. I do enjoy Pass Time though and it seems to be getting better with some celebrity drivers and some pretty cool cars.

Seems to me as if you could generate a list of all the racers that showed up to the event, that the group as a whole could file a civil suit against Pinks, even if there were some stipulations in the entry agreement. End result everyone could recoupe their funds and maybe a little refund for their time and traveling expenses.

Lots of hard earned money wasted at the expense of a Pinks, They should be held accountable, just like the guys who got banned for oiling down the track.

I think that the reason most people like it is b/c that is the only thing they are good at and they want to get on t.v.

Shoot, I am on t.v. every year. I work the Nat's in Houston. When I first started, I was trying to get on t.v., never happened. Then I started to try to NOT get on t.v., now it happens all the time. I think this year I got my 15 minutes of fame.

I saw one race a couple weeks ago, not sure if it was Tx, or No Problem La. they were running i 10.20's brk. and the kid broke a line ir hose and ran the full length of the track, with white smoke boiling out from under the car. It was antifreeze, and Rich had him up in the tower i think that was the race that the guy was banned for 2 yrs.. The kid said i didn't see it because i didn't look in the mirror, that's when Rich called him out for running antifreeze. I can tell you that antifreeze and synthetic oil are the 2 hardest products to get off the track. NHRA and IHRA will also ban you from a race if you put antifreeze on the track. Some of the tracks around here look at the cooling system to see if you have antifreeze and if you do you will not be able too run until it's gone. Too me this is something that's hard to police because they allow street vehicles to race and even have their own class.It's a catch 22.

I personally wouldn't go to a pinks event if they paid me in and bought the gas to get there.

IF they tell you ahead of time that you cannot have antifreeze in the car and then you leak it onto the track, then I can see that because it is a big delay while they clean it up....but other than that, it is a stupid rule.

RACE CARS BREAK...that's what they do. NOTHING lasts forever it is just metal. To punish a guy for life is absurd.

The floating dial thingy i believe is that they put a time up on a display and you have to beat that tiem to advance to the next round. If you are slower than that time then you are eliminated.

''TOD'' The floating dial comes in the second round, you run the first round, they watch your time then pair you up with car's with same time, then they put up the time for you to beat, based on first round. If you don't run under the time then you go home.

You are so right Rudy i ran it in 2007 here at Bristol dragway and tried it again this year but cancelled but never again :!: :!: Rich doesn't have a clue how dragracing really works :!: :!:
