im looking for a 305 or a 350 complete for my 80 chevy truck It can be just stock or a little cam that is pretty cheap.. im also looking for a 400 Small Block..the block only that is bored any size will be fine on the bore..or if i can get a complete motor for my race car then that will be ok too..So let me know what u got or just message me thru the classfieds or in this ad..Im looking to do some trading on a Freshly Bored 030 over 454 block and some other BBC stuff..And if u live close to me then that would make it better..I live in Mississippi.

and besides when someone does it every once in awhile we let it slide but dude you've did it how many times sense becoming a member only a short time ago. You got by on it a few times without a bunch of crap but this go around .. your getting what you had coming ..

I just happened to stumble upon this thread...

You seem like you are trying to be understanding at this point & listen... I commend you for that. These guys are all good people... Hammer, Beast, Hemi, Ash, Mopar, Harb, etc...(only naming a few) they have been here a long time & know what they are talking about. If they say "This is not the place for classified's" they are not just telling you this for no reason. When people do not listen, continue to make the same mistakes, they will write you off, or mock you like wolves getting ready to pounce on a sheep. I too am one of them... we are a family & do not hang around here to play paddy-cake w/ people for no reason. If you befriend the family, I guarantee you will learn many things beyond talking about the weather. This is not MySpace... Twitter or Facebook. We are a tight group that comes here for fellowship & honoring our country... while we practice "being at one with gearheadedness".... we really don't care if people like us or not, & we do not spend alot of time justifying sillyness to those who do not understand us either.

yall ant right lol!!!i have a 86 442 olds that im building and its about there..i hope i can get it down in the 6s thru an 1/8..i had a buick regal that ran 630s in an 1/8 and it had so much power it twisted the frame..it had a 406 in it with 411 gears..My olds has a 9 inch with 488 gears..im ready to get it going soon im ready to go back to the races.

i was going to put that Big Block in it but i dont have the extra money to build it right now..So thats why i reather stick with a small block cause it dont take near as much money to build them..but i found a set of heads for 1,800 and i thought that was high for a cast head..i got to looking for more heads and they are high as heak..So i reather stick to my small block..not unless i find a good set of desant heads for the big block then i would keep it and just build it instead..thats whats holding me up right now is getting me a set of heads for it..

find some GM 990 steel heads usually can find them for a decent price and they work well

Nope dont like NOS. I have seen many engines blow up due to NOS. I know it was prolly error on the driver but still. I cant take any chances right now with NOS. :twisted: :twisted:

If you don't know what you're doing, no engine is safe. NOS is only as good as the person who sets it up. It is the cheapest way to get the bang for your buck. I have never used it, but I know many who have, and they say they would never go back to naturally aspirated. Kind of like going back to dial up internet.

Hey... that is a nice Vette motor. "1979" too... that otta be worth some HP's... still has the smog stuff on it, air cleaner, etc... NOTHING FASTER THAN A 79' Vette... I think they were around 220HP or something...

The real Vette motor to find is 1983 model, they are VERY hard to find!

Oh yeah Chris, worth some serious $$$ too. Again, they are good for some ponies too... I wonder if a guy could get a 305 Vette motor?? That would be awesome... then again, I suppose a good builder could stroke a Vette 350 & make it a 305... put a "Full-Race" Quadrajet on it, 3/4 Race cam, "double-hump" heads (or "Camel-back"), you could "spin the tires at 60mph" w/ a motor like that.

wow that is cheap..i bet it dont have alot of miles on it..its still got the smog pump on it and has everything even the stock air cleaner..But the only thing about me getting it well its like 993 miles to go and get it..not unless he will ship it but it will take about 350.00 or a little more to ship it to me..but its still worth it tho..but thanks very much for looking for me..if i can find one around this area or say around 200 miles then i will take it..but thanks.
