I just got done reading your thread about Ohio folks and just wanted to personally point out you can kiss my rosey red ass!!! I have been an honor member on this site since 2003 and have shipped race parts all over the country and other countries. I do business with local Ohio racers daily and have had no problems.

The only deal and only person I have ever had an issue with on this site is a man from Springfield, MO. Coincidentally , 2 other of my Ohio friends have had issues with the same man from Springfield, MO but I do not get on a forum and say that all people from MO must be scammers and rip off artist. Your comments were/are just plain ignorant.

If I remember right it was a young kid with a dragster that ran low 5's in the eighth with a big Chevy on methanol. He was being very cocky and it got a bit out of hand but it was funny.

The roller dragster that I sold on RJ last year was sold to a guy from Ohio. I swear it is the truth, I cannot remember his name. If you are reading this and I sold you the dragster, step up DEFEND YOUR STATE!.

I agree with juice about Vega being harsh to Ohio in the first post, but I have to say, I damn sure understand. Just don't be cussin us out Vega, we are all big boys and can argue and remain pals!!

It is absolute horrible for me. I can go all the way back to my 7th birthday (im 41) and tell you about some bad times I've had with the number 7. From car wrecks to a nasty divorce to last night going to the track with 7 gallons of gas. I got a bs speeding ticket and my truck broke for the first time in 3 years. I HATE the #7, but I doubt I can convince the other guys on here to STAY THE HEII AWAY FROM 7's.

BTW I bought an OHIO crankshaft and I had a good deal. Does that count??

I haven't said anything concerning the sellers from Ohio because it sounded like one of those bait threads where someone just wants some attention. But, it has to be one of the most ignorant things I've heard in quite a while. Here is another sample.

It's just another example of people trying to typecast everyone because of some trait or because they refuse to accept someone as an authority on a subject. To say everyone in Ohio is a scammer is stupid unless you have personally dealt with every person in that state. I'm sure they have their share of thieves just as every other state has. One of the objectives of this forum is to identify those lowlifes so the buyers can avoid them. I did go back and read this again. Yep, your still not getting it are you? What no one has seen is what deal YOU had go bad and WHO it was with. I am pretty sure the State of Ohio did not sell you parts for a race/performance application. You state above that it was what you read from others then followed up about bad seeds you dealt with. Do you need a mass opinion to tell you how you should feel about YOUR deal? Tod is exactley Right !!....when I 1st came here several years ago we were having to run Strangers off all the time that were Typing Non-sense..but this has Turned into a VERY RESPECTABLE site where its Members act as Adults.

The members today Need Little to No moderatation...and TRUST ME if something comes up other members let me know in My PM INBOX on top of me catching it as well.

I agree that this one one of the best forums I visit. The RJ regular guys are all capable of cracking some pretty good jokes on each other and never get mad. They're pretty dang smart and are more than glad to help a stranger with any problem. I mean any problem from personal to the track. I can't tell you how many times I've seen Scooter tell somene they are on his prayer list! That guy has a heart of gold!

I have about 25 passes on the car now. I was adding some pinion angle and found one of my coilovers had come apart, the bottom housing dropped off the shaft when I took it loose from the mount. I also pulled my intake to do some port work and found it was not sitting down on the motor enough so it is at the shop getting cut down. I should be back out in a couple weeks.

Yeah i am having hooking problems also, working it out, tires still spinning 1 complete turn before launching. thinking about adjusting ladderbar's don't know which way i should go? They are netural right now.

I wasn't having problems hooking, I set mine up with only about 1/2 a degree of pinion angle so that if it wanted to go left or right I would still have the front end on the ground. Now that I know it launches straight I put 2 degrees more in it to put some lift on the front. It was coming out of the hole flat but still cutting 1.37 to 1.40 60's. I am getting ready to spray it so I figured I better adjust it some to put a little weight back there. I did the same thing with my last car and everyone said it wouldn't make a difference but it went from coming out with the front flat cutting 1.47to 1.50 60's to pulling the front about 3inches and carrying it out and laying down real smooth cutting 1.35 to 1.37 60's.

That all depends on old or new to me. I have had several mid80's trucks and I would not have a ford or dodge back then. I still have a 79 one ton chevy dually that I pull my car with. If I bought a new or newer truck, if would have a to be a f250 or f350 no question about it. They look better and out perform chevy now in my opinion.

If I bought a new or newer truck, if would have a to be a f250 or f350 no question about it. They look better and out perform chevy now in my opinion.


Speakin from experience.......

I got an 05 F350 with the 6.0l diesel. I t has a chip and after market exhaust and intake on it and it does pull really good. However, The new 6.4l diesels I have heard nothing but good things bout them. I heard that they pull like the old 7.3l that ford had back in the day.

That all depends on old or new to me. I have had several mid80's trucks and I would not have a ford or dodge back then. I still have a 79 one ton chevy dually that I pull my car with. Back in the 80's the little town I grew up in was 99% Chevy. I was one of very few guys that drove a Ford. You couldn't make me ride in a Chevy.
I even had a hat that said " I'd rather tote a Ford hubcap than drive a Chevy!! My old buddies still cant believe that I have a Chevy and my race truck has a Chevy motor.
The really strange part is most of them now drive Fords :shock:

Actaully to me it really dont matter if it is a Ford or a Chevy. Now when it comes to trucks..Then it is Ford all the way.


until you have to work on them. My nephew has a 2000 f150 4wd and I had to work on it a little...it's like a van. The engine is way back under the firewall. :?

I do agree with you on that to a point. My 05 F350 the last set of cylinders is back in the firewall. It makes it a pain to change the injectors on that thing. Also they put so much chit on top of the engine you have to pretty much removed the top just to take off the valve covers.

My work car is a Ford. My Race car is a Chevy. My Truck is a Chevy. My wife has a Tahoe too.

We had an ExPIGdition... coil pack went out on pass bank all the way in the back... 3 TIMES. It leaked everywhere ... factory seals, sun roof, SUCKED. It was a complete TURD of a vehicle.... no power, crap gas mileage, trans was going.... it had under 100K on it!!! Biggest piece of CRAP I have ever owned!!!!! (I think Eddie Bauer built it)
