Some of you have known I been wanting to Build me a Pro-Charger Intercooled Pump gas Engine for My 69 camaro for a Good while.
So I just decided to buy Good parts as i Go along...I PERSONALLY do not like buying parts from Someone i DO NOT know...
So this has slowed the process down a Good Bit.
BUT today the Patience has Paid off
My Motor Guy is PAR racing out of Spartanburg S.C.....I check in every few weeks to see if he has anything On the shelf for sale...they take Trade in Stuff on His Big engines..since they are a Full in house machine Shop etc...all trade in stuff is checked out beforehand if Not NEW.
I Purchased the Following for $1,000
1- SBC Sonny Byrant Billet crank with Big block Snout.
2- New set of SRP forged Flat Top pistons with Rings
3- New set of Oliver Billet Rods
I would say i got a Good Jump start on My Procharger Small Block !!

I'll send ya 1200 + shipping to take it off your hands. I'd hate to see you keep that stuff. You might wind up hurting yourself with it.

lol. :D ...you might be right....about pulled a Gut today moving it around..Put some Crane ( red) lube on all the journals and counter weights and wrapped it in 2- 1/2 inch thick Foam Rubber with Duct tape then placed it in a construction grade trash bag and placed it on the shelf..
I hope it doesn't stay there too long...but i am prepared to have it stored for a while..until other parts come along.

I haven't even started to look yet..i just got the crank yesterday..i'm like you i know they make them just haven't narrowed it down Yet.
i am now after a good aftermarket Block...instead of rushing out and paying full retail for one i am doing some looking around.
a good agressive goal for me would be to have the short block together by the end of the year but not counting on it. :D
The crank is Good One but the Big Block Snout sealed the deal for me..she will hold up with that Big snout long after many SBC cranks go belly up.

I was just wondering cuz I have a 350 I pulled out of my 84 Chebby. I dont know what kind of block it is. I am also not at home right now either so I cant check the number on it. I was thinking if it was something you could have used you could have it.

i appreciate the thought...but the kind of Engine (Boost) i am gonna Put together is gonna require a after market block with extra Beef in the right places.
i will split a stock block in Half......but again thanks for the thought thats what makes this site the Best Around..( the people)
