yea, i was 12 and enjoying this music called "rock n roll", there is
another song by Montrose called "space station 5" which i loved
and forgot about, good stuff. this stuff was considered heavy, also
the band Moxy was putting out some good stuff, boy, it was fun
not listening to the main stuff and rockin to this old rock

another one not many people have heard is "Remember The Heros". Very good song of his.
Stranger in a foreign land
Fearful cries surround him.
Returning home a wounded man
To find he's been forgotten, yeah.
Courage is the badge he wears
Blinded by obsession.
Wars are won by those who dare
The memory still haunts him.
Remember the heroes
Who fight for the right to choose.
Remember the heroes
We've all got a lot to lose.
A rebel to the naked eye
An undiscovered legend
Face the facts and don' t ask why.
It's something to believe in.
In the dark
Day and night.
Fight for wrong to prove what's right.
Remember the heroes
Who fight for the right to choose.
Remember the heroes
Just another life to use
Remember the heroes.
We've all got alot to lose.
-solo-
Remember the heroes.
Remember the heroes.
Remember the heroes.
Remember the heroes.
To take a life without a say
Demanded without reason.
To turn our backs and walk away
A faceless act of treason.
A father's son must carry on
The wound is only deepened.
Remember the heroes
Who fight for the right to choose.
Remember the heroes
It's just another life to use
Remember the heroes.
You know we've all got alot to lose.
Remember the heroes
Who's gonna fill their shoes?

True story... I am 39 & I think it is crazy to say that it is "classic" rock music. If you take Motley Crue for examople... I will not tell my kid's it is classic... I will tell them it is "The Crue" ... it is different. "Bob Dylan" would be classic. Do you hear what I am sayin' brutha's???

My grandfather used to be a tobacco farmer. Told me one time that every 5th stalk was one of those maryuana plants (dang kids). I asked what he did with it. He said they took it out to the back of the farm and burned it. I asked, what one at a time. He said no, burned the whole patch at once. At least the town and wiskey distillery go some use out of it, haha.

I wish! About a month ago the doorbell rang, standing there was a very pretty girl about 10 years old, her father was sitting in his truck in the driveway. She asked for Wes, I went and got him, I left them alone at the door. What did I hear her say (of course I was spying) "I wanted to hand deliver my birthday invitation, I really, really hope you can come". He didn't go, that evening his "girlfriend" Cheyenne called and told him he better not go if he knew what was good for him!!! Damn!!!! Wouldn't that suck, a ball and chain at 10!!

We took our boys to their first concert, Verizon Wireless in Charlotte. Sold out and packed to the max!
Cheap Trick opened, Poison rocked right before Def Leppard came on.
If you like Def Leppard, even marginally, as I did, I highly recommend you go see them. What a kick ass rock and roll show! Rick Allen (the one armed DL drummer) is unbelievable to see in person. Talk about getting it done!
CT and Poison rocked as well, just didn't have the stage show that DL brought with them!
Later, going fishing!
