BEWARE SHANE427 !!!!!!!!!!!

He sold me a turbo 350 that was listed to have "the good stuff. " He must have brought me the wrong transmission because the one I got was junk. He told me he had seen it go down the track and it was fresh. Guess I should have asked if it was on a tow strap. I installed it and had no 3rd no reverse and no brake. Tore it down to find clutches stacked wrong forward drum busted, 3rd piston cracked, seals where they shouldn't be and not where they should be, bad brake solenoid and cracked stator on the pump. Bottom line is I bought a bell housing and scatter shield that could be used on another trans because this one is ready for the scrap pile. As you could imagine he was " Johnny on the spot " when he was selling this thing, but for some reason now he won't answer his phone or emails. Add #1554299 posted 2009-06-01

I'm thinking he should have shown up by now. Like most thieves and cowards he has chosen to bury his head in the sand and hope I go away. WRONG!!!! I have found his posts on a few other websites I think I'll let those people see his true colors as well.

Finally got a response today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I was told that what I bought was "used" (no kidding)and that I had no right to ask for a refund. I would understand if I took it to the track and exploded it, but it never made it off the jack stands. He said he took it in on trade, so there should be no expectation of warranty. The problem is he told me over the phone he saw it run and it was fresh. I thought after that statement he would stand behind it. Guess Not !!!!!!!!

If infact he did tell you he seen it go down the track & you never got it off the stands hes a thief & theres noway hes going to stand behind it--One things for sure,He couldnt give me anything,once a thief always a thief!!!He should never be able to hook another victim on here but he will--Some poor guy will come in here AFTER he gets screwed but never before??Strange isnt it?? Just an opinion-I have used a couple of my ad spaces to remind folks to read the scammer section before giving their hard earned money away,Nothing seems to work--Has he been a member since 2003 or so & never made an honer payment??That would trigger my doubts right there--He will not get my money--A little forthought & a small bit of research can save you not only money but that BAD BAD feeling you get after being screwed with no recourse..Fact is very few people ever get their money back& That includes MEEEEEEE!!! I know shayne 427 and The trans is question was in a camaro that ran local and shop owner car. Shayne bought the trans (600.00) and removed the trans his self. Put in his car and never got the car together. Removed trans to sell to pay bills. I know that he was told that it had the (good stuff) in the trans. He know nothing about transmission parts. As for as the deal that is between you guys. Just hate to see someone get a bad rap for something he got screw on.(he was going on the word og the owner of the camaro) Since this has happened he has tore down the engine that he bought at the same time and it has none of the parts that it was to have in it.(2500.00) now the guy it bought it from is long gone. It just seem it was a bad deal for everyone. Shayne is a good guy and was telling you everything he know from the guy he bought it from.

:?: You know this is something! In the modern day of internet, cell phone, forums etc,etc.These people think they can pawn there junk off on someone and no one will call them on it and demand some honesty!
It seems the majority of complaints that arrive on the forum are issues where the seller cannot be reached after the sale, uhm, cell phone ,internet! If you are an honest seller and a man of your word, what the hell are you people hiding from?
I'am so glad that 99% of what i've bought on racing junk has been from good, honest people that stand behind what they say!

All the seller has to do is disclose this. Something like "I cant vouch for this trans as I never ran it" Then its up to the buyer.

When a seller doesnt disclose this until after he has the buyers money- then its all about the money.

And yes I can say I have never sold something without being up front to the buyer- thats how you avoid ending up in court or on scammer forums.

Why is this stuff so complicated?

The only problem i ever had was taken care of right here on the scammer forum. Both sides were heard and in the end, i received the product I paid for. I just don't understand how people think they can scam and never be called out in this age of communication

If all that was bad of trans it wouldn't have ran.
And I agree I always tell all info that I know , I have bought a lot of parts on rj and never have had a bad experience.

My name is john and have know shane for several year. He helps me at the track, I run a drag radial malibu wagon. Have not heard of shayne selling a bad part. Not saying that it didn't happen. I was there when the trans was picked up at benton. The buyer seemed like a nice guy. Wanted to tell him thanks for the lights while I changed plugs. I don't know what was said on the phone, but what shayne told me (before and after the deal). Was for as the form I just found the form and was going there to see about another buyer and saw this add. I know he has sold other parts on here and don't anyother bad feed back. I just wanted to tell that trans did come out of running car. I talked to shayne and he said he got ahold of the person he bought it from and he say that the trans in question was built buy shop and in perfect working order.(no trans break issue, and shifted great). It was behind a 496 with spary. Shanye doesn't know I am on there. And I agree if that the trans was junk the he needs to make it right. But at this point how do you know what parts were in there are not. My recommand that next time if your selling or buying to let cust. see the the inside. As for as the blackberry I was at my kids choir concert.
