how long do rear shocks and springs last. I know quality of the product plays a big roll here. let me ask if this seems right. I walk up to the back of my car and push down on it and it will push up and down 3 times then it stiffens up like a rock. is that normall. it pulls straight and gets good traction but I just want to make sure it is at its best without spending unnessary money. I believe these are going into there 5 season. I've only had the car 3 months so I don't know a lot about it.
Thanks Andy

are these adjustable shocks?
Good question. Mine are almost 10 years old and I have not given it much thought.
I do not have adjustabe rear shocks, but have been looking at them.
Money well spent?

I think towing your racecar in the trailer is harder on shocks than taking it down the track. So if you tow a long distance to race, you should have them checked more often. JMO

if they are adjustable, and are set stiff, or they are stock, and bounce like a basketball, then i would say they are bad. however it could be tricky by bouncing them, i think the rate (or speed) they are forced apart, determine the amount of dampening they apply. yep go for the adjustable if you can, help in chassis tuning. jmo

Thanks for the replys guys, sorry I'm a little late getting back to you all on the post but i've had other problems I'm trying to clean up , and yea they are adjustable shocks. I was currious if they were supossed to bonce twice before going stiff as a rock.
