12 bolts rears

Has anybody had trouble with breaking gears in 12 bolt? I bought an all round tube ext cab s10 with 532 bbc . i have broke 4 gears set in two years.i have always ran richmond street strip gears .but im going to try pro gears. i already have good cover,good yoke billett yoke straps.i guess
i will also try billett main caps. the lash is set at 8.just trying to get some input.by the way the truck weighs 2880 with me. sixty foot 1.25 et 9.05

Do you have a transbrake? If so, that will break s/s gears. You WILL need to go with pro gears. They are softer, will wear out quicker, but won't break as often.

for what its worth, had 12 bolt built last year, my builder highly recomended that i not use richmond gear, he said they have had a lot of trouble with them, he recomended u.s. gear or motive.
