Sounds to Me?Like the Float Level Needs to Be ADJUSTED!
That would be a GOOD start.............?

I agree with bbchevy. Also check your fuel pressure, it could be over riding the floats.

Also, your timing might have backed off.

You may just be slushing fuel try a hose between your vent tubes. Make sure to cut a notch out on the top center of the hose. Make sure your fuel pressure is under 7psi.

SOUNDS LIKE TO MUCH FUEL COMING THROUGH,, JET IT DOWN, UNBURNT OR EXCESS FUEL GETTING INTO THE EXHAUST AND IGNITING.. ALSO COULD BE IN YOUR IGNITION, MISFIRES.. OPINION.. GOOD LUCK

It may be that it has loose headers, if the gasket is bad or burned out it will backfire through the exhaust too, even if you get the fuel mixture right.

X2 supergass, having your headers or exhaust to short also. But usually its not like a bomb going off more like m60s in your headers.
