Don't matter...cause just when you think you have proven your point....someone says "Billy Glidden"... :?

But the way I see things...as soon as I found out that almost everything on a Chevy will fit most other Chevy's...I was sold. I don't know anything about Fords but I know they are not as universal to each other(if that makes sense)as the Chevrolets

Besides...Chevy parts are everywhere

yea i agree with tod on this one
not only do i think chevys are just all around better :P
u can take a motor out of any gm vehicle and put it in another
and parts are switchable for most small block to others
and most big blocks to others
not to mention parts are cheaper

I will only race a chevy!!!!! I own a chevy dually, a ford f150 4x4, and my wife drives a ford 500. I have owned a few fords but mostly chevy's. I have never owned a mopar though. My first car was a camaro, my second car was a camaro and I currently race a camaro so my vote would be CHEVY.

I've been running Pontiacs since 82. Never owned a Mopar and only 1 Ford (if you want to call it that). It was a early 90's Escort, bought it for $100 and sold it for $300. Had a bad tranny in it.

A lot of people don't really care what you race as long as you get to race , HELL I would race a simca if that was all I had
WOOPS I forgot , most of you probally don't know what a SIMCA is..it was a little square car mad in early sixtys with a little bitty 4 cylinder and a 3 speed manual with the shifter on the dash board , probally got around 50 miles to the gallon    HEY , HERES A THOUGHT , WHY DONT THEY DRAG OUT THE OLD PLANS AND BUILD NEW ONES , NAW THAT WOULD MAKE TO MUCH SENSE :D Paul

The problem with a Ford Chevy poll is that about 50% of the fords racing are running Chevy engines, like my friend Rodney Jorden, MUSTANG, Chevy engine, ran 4.75 2 weeks ago before spitting out the drive shaft. At least that's the case in our neck of the woods/bayou.

A chevy engine in a Ford is perfectly acceptable...HOWEVER...a Ford enginein a Chevrolet is flat out Blasphemy.

Now Tod, you are going to confuse some people using words like BLASPHEMY( I know it means a profane act usually towards God but can be used toward a sacred object which would fit the ford engine in a chevy I agree)

Got a buddy racing a 55 Chev with a blown hemi in it. Hmmm. I've always raced Chevs. Tow it with a Dodge dually. Wife drives a Ford. I reckon Chevs have a nicer sound than a Ford. The distributor at the back sucks but that ain't a prob on the race engine, its running a Jesel belt drive dizzy on the front.
Gotta say the Chevy cross is a lot cooler than the Ford ummmm badge.

Not knocking any Models, But has anyone seen the Latest issue June 2009, Page 14 & 15 of car craft magizine featuring a mopar in all its glory

Totally Crushing the Tree, climbing the median and loosing is back tire. All in less than 60'. Now that takes ?????????????

Well on a positive note, Atleast the mopar made it into the June Issue.

Now thats some advestisement.

The is a note referring a response from the NHRA.

"According to the NHRA, You don't get charged for hitting the tree. Just don't do it" LOL!!!!!!!!!!!

Now it is a sad day when more people will rather pick a Chevy. One of the guys actually gave me an idea too. I got a 55 Chevy and I am having trouble thinking of a motor to put in it so I might just put a Ford motor in it. I want to be different. So the choice I am making is Toyota

Man I like many.... models, motors... etc.

Chev is cheap horsepower- made some cool cars... who can say a 69 chevelle is not cool?? Or RS/SS 69 Camaro.... Vette/Nova/55-57 chev Gassers!!! Or the king... the Cosworth Vega!!! (just joking)

Ford: Love the 66/67 Fairlane, who could put down a 60's Mustang FB??? 53-56 F100 very cool.

Olds: the 455 torque monster!!! Nothing like a Black 442 w/a 4spd.

Mopar is the Sleeper AND the Reaper. You gotta love a strip down Coronet w/a Hemi & a 4spd.... all grandma looking w/ cute little hub caps... stab it & it goes from a sheep to a WOLF. I would have one!! (If I could afford it). There are so many....

I'm with Scoot here. I'm just a plain ol' car guy who happens to be running Mopars.
Love 'em all if they were made of American iron and in Detroit by American workers. :D :D
