Anyone on here know this guy.I had an aeromotive fuel pump on here for sale a while back.He emails me and asks If I would trade for a holley 350 dominator pump.I said cool.So since I ship from here at work I told him to go to the post office and give me the tracking number when he sends his pump out and after I got the tracking number I sent mine out.Well I start tracking the number after a couple days.It was due here on a saturday and never showed up.The tracking message sadi vacant address so it was being returned to sender.A few days later I call him and he said he got the pump back the day before.So I give him the address here at work and he said he'll go to ups and send it the next day.Cool I thought.Here it is almost 2 months later and no pump.He won't return my calls after I have left several messages.So If anyone knows him or where he's at tell him to call me at 512-627-6163 so he can man up and make this deal right.
Or can I go to the authorities in Caledonia with the tracking numbers and file on him if this doesn't get resolved?

Interesting possible scam I think.

He sent the item or any item for that matter to a bogus address to get a legit tracking number, gave it to you so you would ship-you did. And then the USPS re-delivers back to him the item because he sent to a bogus address.

So now he has your item and his.

I think you need to gather every piece of documentation and contact the USPS immediately as this smells like mail fraud.

Never seen anything written about this type of thing before.

I'll caveat this because its fresh with a "just my humble opinion" sticker.

I thought about contacting USPS but I don't know what they could do with just the tracking #.Thats all I have is my # and the one he gave me.

Go ahead and contact the USPS with what you have, get on this guy like a "rat on a cheeto". If you don't he'll get away with it for sure.

bigs1975 i checked with the guys i know from Calidonia and they didn't know him. Sorry. I guess get your info together like scorp said and go after him. Give me more info on him. How old,where he races, what he drives, anything you can think of it might ring a bell with someone around here. Send it to me in a pm if you want.

Hey bigs1975 i did some checking and could not find a Joel Atkinson in Caledonia but did find one in Hastings, MI which is about ten miles away at most. Maybe same guy?

Thanks man.It's probably the same guy.I'll pm you his address and phone number.I don't know what he races or drives.I know its a street car though.Maybe a mustang or 3rd gen camaro.There's a few guys from yellowbullet that said if I give them the okay that they will go pay him a visit for me.So I gave them the okay.I think he's a younger guy maybe in his 20's.He sounded young on the phone.I appreciate what ever you can do.And I posted a $50 reward for whoever finds him and can get me my pump or $300 cash from him.

I found some new info on this guy.He's 19 years old and has an ad on thirdgen.org that has the pump he was supposed to send me in it along with a bunch of other stuff.
Hey Beast see what you can do.He also has a 3rd gen firebird and says he has alot of racing buddies around there.So he's probably hanging out at the track with some Fbody guys or at local GTG's around there.

Well Bigs, the info that he has the pump for sale is a real pisser. Out and out theft, IMO. There needs to be a lesson taught...

Well I think I made some leadway on this.I sent him a private message and said that I was going to the authorities about this and he P.M.'d me back saying he was not Joel that he posted the ad for Joel.Well He said he will be shipping the pump out [priority monday morning and I'll have the tracking number in my in box.And he said he didn't know Joel had the pump traded.So after I said the authorities will be brought in if I don't hear something by monday afternoon he said He assures me that the pump will go out first thing monday morning and no need to get the law invovled.
So we will see.

did he ever have an add for anything on racing junk? if so what is add number??how come the first time you talked to him he was Joel and then later he is not?? I think we should only do business with MEMBERS THAT FILL OUT THEIR PROFILE COMPLETELY SO THEY CAN BE TRACKED WHEN SOMETHING LIKE THIS HAPPENS.. :roll:

I'm not sure he ever had an ad on here.The guy that has the ad on thirdgen.org goes by DMX69785.So I thought it was kind of funny that the first email I got about my pump I had for sale was this guys email address.Now he is saying he's a friend of Joel's.

I got the pump in today.Hooked it up to power and the motor was locked up.So I pulled it apart and found the problem.The vanes were getting hung up on a wear ridge in the rotor housing.I smoothed it out and flipped the vanes over and all is good so far.Now I have to hook it up and see if it still makes pressure.
