drag only, 2400 pounds, 4.88 gear, 1/8 mile, p/g, 5000 stall, mostly footbreak, runs 6.30 now on gas, just want to try alcohol maybe a little faster and consistint for double entering.

It shouldnt be too big for ya. I run a rupert dominator that flows almost 1200 cfm on my 409 small block. Alky is usually good for .15 to .20 or so on a mid 6 second car.

i think your in the ball park..I had a 511ci and APD built me a custom Alcohol carb and it was an 1150cfm

the only thing i see that would concern me is your compression. Alcohol responds well to compression i think you would see more gains on the gas to alochol switch if you were 14 to 15:1 compression..

850 should work fine, I assume its used and not from apd if your asking. My question would be does it have the same air bleeds/jets it did when done by apd ? Call apd and ask for Joe or Randy and see if they can tell you what its suppose to have. Remember to back timing off some.

I was just messing with ya a bit. I've ran both and no doubt who will never see me calling again. But will say he does have some good stuff out there, just not the one I had. :D

I prefer APD but nothing wrong with a Ruppert also.
if you guys remember George Mcclain with the camaro with a 496ci running low,low 5.40's on alcohol with an electric pump... ....
he had a ruppert carb..i must say George had that thing running :!:  for no more than it was

This is my first alky carb and seems to be fine. I like the dual needle and seat bowls with extra capacity so my electric pump can keep up. I didnt want the hassle or expense of a mechanical pump. I dont know of anyone else that sells the dual needle and seat bowls.

Looking over apds website it looks like they make some quality stuff, if this one gives me any trouble thats where I will send it, especially since they are within driving distance.

I know your just ribbin me, for what I gave I cant complain. It came on my motor and was already tuned to it.

Man take it to the Classifieds..and Good luck selling...even if this was the place to sell stuff....you wouldn't have any luck trying to sell that BG (pos) on this One thread.. did you not read we are Ruppert and APD guys ???.Which is like comparing prime rib to Bull Ballz to that BG you have.

sorry !! thats what you get trying to slide a sell that belongs in the classifieds in a place where Opinions are shared.
