outside of getting to know the seller/Buyer best you can...

COD is the best Method i have found..(with insurance)...its the safest way for buyer and seller.

I have sold and purchased using COD..... I Purchased a blower last week COD..No issues..
Also if you have a regular delivery guy that knows you..he will let you peek in the package beforehand if your Buying..(not policy i'm sure) but its the facts of it... 8)

the good thing for the seller is the package will not be left with buyer unless certified funds are produced.

yes i believe they do..remember you have to have certified funds..postal money order or official bank check...Plus do all the research you can on seller.....starting here is a good place.....ad#,name etc......

I have received bad certified checks from buyers in the past. Like Bjuice said, if you don't have good solid info on the guy the possibility of getting burned is out there.
Things I would want from him are Full name
Address
City, State & zip

Copy of Driver Liscense

Work Number & Position

I would also need a copy of the cashiers check or USPS money order to be faxed to me for bank verification prior to shipping goods.
