I bought a set of Holley 94s that took 3 WEEKS to arrive. I could verify when he shipped- It took USPS 3 friggin weeks.

So are you jumping the gun?

Yes.

Contact the seller and give it another week.

Well, I would stay on top of it and request a tracking number.

I just sent out a really nice procharger system to a guy in Lousiana. I have shipped a ton of stuff and usually 3 to 5 days delivery to buyer is tops. The procharger did not arrive as estimated by USPS. USPS said it was lost in mail.
I am always concerned about every shipment. I always insure the package, require a signature upon receipt and always submit a valid valid tracking number to buyer on day shipmenyt is sent out via email.

The buyer was very patient knowing through the USPS tracking process the item did show that it was dropped off for the inital delivery, but no status there after.

I got the post master involved after day 8. Day 15 postmaster informed me that he could not find package and that I would have to file a loss insurance claim 21 days after date of drop off.

You can only imagine how upset I was by now. Here I had a very nice guy who sent me his hard earned money for a nice procharger and he had not received it in a timely manner and now it is reported by postMaster to be lost.

Out of the blue, on day 21 the procharger was delivered, buyer happy with product and I was able to wipe the sweat off my brow.

Just goes to show you, no matter how well you try sometimes there are hurdles to jump.

It's unbelievable how long it takes to get some items. Seems that there is no sure and fast way unless you pay for overnight and most items don't warrant the expense. I have waited for weeks sometimes and you always wonder if it got lost or if it was even shipped. So far I have been very fortunate. Only one item was half lost, half the package was there. The box was torn by the post office and half the contents were lost enroute. It was insured and everything worked out. Insurance is a must with any shipment in my opinion. Too many ways to lose a package and it protects both parties for a nominal fee.

X2 , insure, insure, insure and always provide the buyer with a tracking number, and keep track yourself, communications a must and all parties will be happy in the end.

X2... tracking number & ship date are a must. My company ships all over the country sending our equipment everday & UPS.. its 3 to 5 days in most cases. Even from Oregon to Manie or Vermont it is a max of 5-6 buisness days GROUND shipping. If it takes more than a week, something is WRONG & can be explianed by tracking the package everytime... even if the package is lost... they can still tell you that. Remember, Monday is Presidents day... not sure that you will be able to count that as a shipping day or not.

Please let me start by saying that SOX did not recieve his carberator. Every one in a while you'll run into guys like this. The type of person that no matter what you do, he will never be satisfied. When SOX called me Sunday a week ago, I was in Moultrie, GA at a show. I took his order and said that he should expect his carb by the end of the week. I then e-mailed my rep at Quick Fuel that day because I knew I wouldn't be back into the shop until Tuesday. This was to keep from delaying shipment of his carb. Apparently, Quick Fuel was out of parts and could not send his carb. I have not ran into that situation with them before. I placed the order with them and normally it ships, no problem. I should have double checked the order, but failed to. My fault. I told SOX that I had those carbs in stock and would send him one myself if Quick Fuel hadn't sent him one. He asked me why I didn't do this in the first place...Again, I told him that I explained this to him in a previous e-mail as to why I tried shipping from Quick Fuel...To save time. I have e-mailed him several times about this situation and called and left a message to resolve it before I read this thread, but he's thick headed. I have a very good reputation and try my damndest to do everything I say. I would rather not even deal with guys like him. I sold him a brand new carb much cheaper than he could buy one from Jegs and because I tried to do the right thing, he get's on here and tries to bash me. Real classy!!! I have sold parts on this website (probably a few thousand) and have not had anyone give me any trouble. Sorry guys, but I thought I needed to let everyone know what the "WHOLE STORY" was. Anyone has any questions, please feel free to call me.. I am not afraid to post my phone number 859-647-7223. Thanks for listening, Dwight.

The problem started when you told me I would have it Thursday or Friday. You did not tell anything other than you would ship right away.I thought you ment Monday. You never said anything else other than I would have it Thursday or Friday. You dont know me from jack so your going to call me thick headed. You also stated you would fix it.I called Quick Fuel to find out the problem not you. Im the buyer all that I wanted what what told to me.Your communications needs a little help.Did you also tell them I called you and you never called me back till now.I will call you now and see what your story is.I have bought parts on here and never had a problem till now.The problem started when you did not tell me you were out of town you led me to believe you would ship on Monday and I would have it Thursday or Friday.

If It were me he called with an order The first thing I would have done is let him know I had them in stock back at the shop but being as I was'nt at the shop he could'nt get it until I returned-Next I would have informed him That I could have him one sent from my supplier which could save time--Next I would have spent the dime & contacted My supplier & made sure it was available & going to Happen as promised-Im sure you meant well but it appears you was afraid of losing a sale--Sometimes its best to lose the sale & prevent the bull_ _ _ _..I can understand the frustration of Sox,When we pay for something promised to us at a certain time & it doesnt happen its really upsitting! It would be the same if you were on the recieving end-Im sure your a good guy with all the good intentions in the world & I would'nt be afraid to buy from you because this isnt a ripoff,Its just not a real professional selling job..One last thing before I finish sharing my personal opinion with everyone-The Buyer should NEVER NEVER have to call the seller about an item that has been purchased from them--To Call is frustrating but to call & No answer is really Frustrating-I appreciate your taking time to read my opinion,I buy lots of parts & I sell a few--I have seen it on both ends--Again,Thanx..

I HAD A SMALL ORDER (ABOUT $85) ABOUT A YEAR OR SO AGO WITH THESE GUYS AND IT WAS A MESS,WRONG PLUG WIRES,NOT THE CORRECT PARTS, EXPLAINED THAT TO THEM THEY WANTED TO CHARGE ME POSTAL FEES FOR RETURN OR RESTOCKING,THAN A FEW UNRETURNED CALLS NEVER GOT IT IRONED OUT. I DID SPEAK TO DWIGHT HE SAID HE WOULD MAKE AN EFFORT TO HELP OUT, THAT DID NOT HAPPEN.SORTA "WE PROMISE NOTHING AND WE DELIVER" WAY OF THINKING
IN THIS DAY AND AGE OF THE INTERNET IT HAS CHANGED THE WAY WE DO BUSNIESS, WE ARE DEALING WITH EMAILS PHONE CALLS (PEOPLE WE NEVER SEE) .
ANYWAY I DO ABOUT 10K TO 15K IN INTERNET PARTS BUYING ANNUALLY. THATS JUST IN SMALL PARTS, PLUGS, WIRES, CAPS CARBS INTAKES, CAMS ETC, AND KY SPEED PARTS LOST ME AS A CUSTOMER FOR $85. THAT IS POOR BUSNIESS. TYPICALLY I START VENDORS WITH A SMALL ORDER USUALLY THE AD THEY ARE POSTING (IF I NEED THE PARTS) THAT IS WHAT I DID WITH KY SPEED PARTS.
I DID SEE DWIGHT/ THE COMPANY AT THE EXPO IN SCHAUMBURG IL AND THEY SEEMED TO BE BUSY WHEN I EXPLAINED WHAT HAPPENED TO ME THEY JUST RESPONDED WITH SORRY.

I WORK AN 8 TO 5 FOR A BIG COMPANY AND HAVE HAD A SMALL BUSNIESS FOR OVER 25 YEARS,
I HAVE NEVER ADVERTISED I HAVE LET MY WORK AND WORK ETHIC SPEAK FOR MY COMPANY, AND HAVE MORE WORK THAN EVER, ALL OF MY CUSTOMERS HAVE BEEN BY WORD OF MOUTH. (AND THEY DO GET A BIRD DOG FEE WHEN THEY GET ME A CUSTOMER) I WOULD NOT HAVE WRITTEN THIS BUT DWIGHT MADE A CLAIM THAT HE HAS HAD NO PROBLEMS.
ALSO: KENTUCKY SPEED YOU CAN RUN YOUR BUSNIESS ANYWAY YOU WANT, MANY FOLKS HAVE FOUGHT TO GIVE YOU THAT RIGHT......BUT I THINK YOU WILL FIND THAT YOU NEED TO CONDUCT YOURSELF WITH THE CUSTOMER IN MIND SO BE CUSTOMER FOCUSED, THE SMALL ORDER MAY LEAD TO ALOT MORE....,,, ONE OF THE WORST THINGS YOU CAN DO IS GIVE LIP SERVICE AND BY ALL MEANS DO NOT CALL A CUSTOMER A NAME ON A PUBLIC FORUM. I WILL BET THAT HURT YOUR BUSNIESS A LITTLE. IF YOU NEED TO TALK TO ME MY CELL NUMBER IS 708-308-0282 AND MY NAME IS JEFF
I KNOW I MAY HAVE A SMALL COMPANY MENTALITY, BUT I AM PRETTY SURE THAT IS OK
SORRY FOR ALL THIS RECTORIC BUT I FOUND THIS POST COMPELLING TO RESPOND TOO. AND GOOD LUCK TO ALL IN THE WAY WE DO BUSNIESS NOW

I feel like I need to put this to rest before it gets started. This "gentleman" who posted this is the same "gentleman" that back in October of 2008 purchased 4 MSD boxes from us and wanted them sent overnight. Now what kind of person would need 4 750.00 MSD boxes shipped overnight? It was an unusual purchase because they are very pricey. Myself and my ex business partner were very suspicious of the transaction and called PayPal to make sure indeed that we would be covered by them if something went wrong (if we got scammed). They insure us that as long as it was sent to an address that they credit card was tied to and that is was signed for, that it would be covered. Sure enough, this "gentleman" tried to dispute his cc with PayPal. Initially, PayPal deducted the money back from our account but after talking to them, they paid us back. In May or June of last year, he tried to do the same thing. He paid PayPal for 4 of the same boxes. We decided not to do the transaction because we again thought it was a scam. We later closed down our eBay store and our PayPal account. PayPal informed me long ago that this "gentleman" again had disputed his cc payment with them. He says that we owe him for these boxes and PayPal will tell you that he initially paid for them, but the money was put back on his card due to the dispute. I told this "gentleman" numorous times that if he would have PayPal and his cc company get me statements or letters or even a phone call proving that this money had not been put back on his cc, that I would definitely make it right. He uses the excuse that he doesn't bank with the same bank anymore and that PayPal isn't willing to help him out with this. I told him even though he doesn't bank with the same bank anymore, that they do keep records and they can get him proof of this transaction. He feels like he doesn't have to show proof and that I guess I should take his word for it. I don't think so. Like I said, have the bank & PayPal get with me or send me the information and I will make it right. My belief is that this "gentleman" is a scammer and has been one and is trying to pull some BS move. If anyone would like to ask me any questions, please feel free to call. Sorry for taking up so much time for this BS. Dwight Workman. 859-647-7223.

You guys are crooks Dwight, thats the bottomline. Where is the $3320 that I sent you, that you deposited into your bank acct and stole before Paypal was able to take it from you? Did you send the parts you were paid for refund the money? The answer to both questions is NO. Did you guys or did you guys NOT deposit the money into your bank acct and not refund or send the parts you were paid for. The 1st time I made a purchase from you guys, it was an Instant Transfer....which was done thru a bank acct so please stop the lies. 2nd of all, had I "Scammed" you guys before as you said, why on earth would you sale anything else to me? LOL you guys are crooks and youre trying to save face but the bottomline is...anyone who is smart can see that I sent you guys $3320 and you deposited into your bank acct and has never sent a refund or the parts you were paid for. Whats so hard to understand here? If you guys decided not to do the transaction, why did you deposit the money into your bank acct whether than refunding it? LOL youre a crook Dwight. The facts are clear, and I wont stop until everyone knows it.

well im feeling like im getting lied to as well. i ordered a dart lil m block from dwight at the end of december and was told that i should have it the first week of january. i called him a couple times and he stated that dart was really backed up and it will be shipped in a few days. well i called a week ago and he said that it would be shipped tomorrow. this was 5 days ago. today i call dwight and get no answer as usual. i call dart to see what is going on and dart tells me that he doesn't have anything ordered with them and they don't know what the deal is. SO DWIGHT WHERE IS MY BLOCK AROUND 6 WEEKS LATER???

I tried posting a relply to this, but it didn't go through I guess. 1bads10, all you have to do is call Steve Arent at Dart about the order. He's the sales manager at Dart. I just had another guy call about a single cylinder head he bought and wanted to know where it was. I have called Steve this morning and and waiting on a reply. I know he's a very busy man, but I have to rely on the manufacturer to get this shipped out. The order had definitely been placed. I'm sorry if no one answered your call, I have been reading and posting these threads and someone else should have answered the phone. 1bads10, you can call again, please. Thanks.
