i know i was thinking the same thing..me and the owner have shared some e-mail's...basically just the economy rearing its ugly head...over the next few months there will be some un-real deals out here...( sad to say but true)
this particular bike was advetised at one time for over 30k...
I got a little play Money after selling the Vette and i am seriously thinking on this Bike....what ya gotta do in this case is get ya a spotter close to his home town to verify the bike. then...Fly out there and rent you aa small u-haul box truck and drive her home...its 1500 miles one way for me
This bike would be a heck of an investment when time of the economy up-swing..
If a man has some money put back..the next 6 months or so will be a time for someone to really invest in some killer stuff...that will make some profit in the next few years...

Agreed. That will be an investment for sure!! Sadly, the rich get richer in these times for this very reason. I am hoping to find a 68/69 Chevelle sooner or later in these down times... we shall see. I would say that if it is a sound bike, it will be a no-brainer!! Plus, it will be a blast to ride. You gotta love that rake & the drag bars too!! Scooter
brian buy it , very cool!!!!!! you would look good on that, heck even I would look good on that bike

bjuice if i could still ride i buy that little girl in a heart beat!!.bike looks so good it looks like it came out of our shop. lol tosay the least i like the construction on that bike. im selling a bobber with less than 500 miles on her and i need 16.000 for it and with that on the board id never get what i need for mine. that bike is a once in a life time deal and someone will snap her up. i would but im selling not buying now. just trying to pay some bills, like everyone else. bikes are a fickle kind of product. you never can tell what the market will except, but that one at that price is a money maker. buy it.NOW!

Yes my underwear ran SHORT. :D lol....>> It was a fast car, fastest i have ever owned or rode in but at the same time it was smooth.
Charles the car was just sitting in the SHOP 99% of the time, and to run a car like this i had to have 2 others go with me which was tuff to get rounded up....
I saw this economy thing coming..i must admit i didn't see it this wide spread,,But i saw some things coming..so i hooked up with a guy OUT OF THE COUNTRY who had lots of Money and sold the car..
Nothing was owed on the car..i paid as i went along (2 yrs) Plus i did all the work......so it was alot of money for me to get back Plus some all at one time
So i have bank-rolled it and saving it for a rainy day...Well now its RAINING (Pouring) and i am glad i have the money instead of the car.
when times get better i am sure i wish i had the car back but now it looks like i made the right choice
Plus i got a 67 camaro with a 565ci and a 69 camaro with a 406 sbc..plenty to keep me busy.
And i keep fresh underwear in stock...

I don't even like old bikes, but that's a cool one to have.
No doubt it is a good time to buy. Not sure if things will change soon, but I heard that realators and investors have been shopping for houses for sale buy owners in the last few weeks. I have 2 friends selling houses, neither hurting for money, and they've both been called several times.
The only downside is the buyers are making offers a good bit below value.

Stick around Tod, I just bought a go-cart for my son... carts too big for him now, so I will be keeping the seat warm for him... I will let you know i break my arms again.
Juice- You still have 2 great cars... nothing wrong with a bike like that one on the side. That partciular bike has a great look to it!
rabbit- Real Estate here is pretty much a buyers market... people are still selling, but my brother (he is a broker) said that it is common to see some very good deals. My wife & I are trying to buy our first rental this year (duplex)... I think we found one we could afford. I would love to buy a another car right now, but we are going to try to do some investing. Unemployment here is down 11%!! Man, I gotta quit watching the news!! Scooter

It's pretty bad here too, but if you want to work we do have jobs. May not be what you want, but we still have several big construction jobs hiring. I keep hearing about houses be foreclosed and the bad situation so many people are in, but I've been looking for one of those great deals for over a year and haven't found one yet. If I were in that situation I would be out cutting grass, painting or whatever it took to stay afloat. And I would sell my house before I lost it. Trust me I have taken a BIG paycut over the last 2 years so I know it's gotta be tuff on guys that have family's / kids. I agree and I don't watch much news anymore either. I do listen to Headline News on the radio for a little while every morning and that's enough to depress anyone. Funny thing is now the bad economy is Obama's fault if you listen to the news. Sorry to get so far off of the bike. Maybe 6 or 8 of us should go in and buy it. STORE IT and to wait and sell it when times get better!!

Wish it was that easy Rabbit!!
Unless you are painting grand-maws house or kin folks stuff.
My wife and I have run our paint contracting business for 27 years and it is as slow as we have ever seen it
Around here we have to have at least 2 million in general liability insurance and workman's comp just to get the jobs. The start-up costs are a little high for no more than is going on right now. Can't speak for the lawn guys.
Not being a smart a??, just speaking from a business standpoint. By the way WE are not hiring right now but haven't laid anyone off. (yet) :)

eeeeeh! I guess what I was saying is I'll do anything, I'm not afraid to do any kind of work including picking up scrap metal. I'm a store Manager of a nation wide equipment rental company, but I still do all kinds of odd jobs just because I like to. It wasn't taken that way I understand what you meant. The problem here is finding good help. I looked for 8 months for a good mechanic. Many wanted the job, but not qualified and a bunch couldn't pass a drug test!
I know what you mean Rabbit. I have always managed to find something to do since I was a little fellow. Helping pick up hay, pick up eggs, spread manure or,well you get the idea. I just don't know if it is that easy anymore.
I'm sure I have rented equipment from your company at sometime or another like scissor lifts, manlifts, etc. Sorry Bjuice for ranting on. By the way,I can't believe you are not riding that knucklehead yet! been nice weather here for riding them scooters. 8)

I know its a Killer deal...i am like the rest i guess...I keep watching the news and all these jobs getting lost...i am just Skeered to turn loose of the Bigger Money at one time... don't get me wrong i been lucky enough to be able to spend some money on Gear head stuff..
in the last two weeks i purchased an orginal pair of 69 camaro front seats with head rest $350.00 plus shipping total $450.00...just wrapped up a deal today on a 142 B&M blower...$875 plus shipping..total cost was $909.00.....Its teflon stripped..so i feel i got a great deal since these things go for about $2300 new..
spending this level of money doesn't bother me ...but rolling 10k and 20k off the hip at one time just has me a little nervous right Now... I KNOW,I KNOW...this attitude is part of the problem
the most powerful thing that ever jerked me in line and made me think before i act is only 33 inches tall and 35 lbs...with Huge BLUE eye's That looks like i did 40 years ago....you got it...My little 3-1/2 yr old Girl..
One thing i GOT TO do is make sure this little one and Her Mommy's Life style are not even close to being placed in jeapordy..until this economy thing passes
Yes they are My world.........
That Knuckle is gonna be a money maker and i fight everyday the thoughts of going to get her..then i ask myself,,how long am i gonna have to sit on her?. How bad is this economy Gonna get ?
Same Questions you guys ask yourself each day..
Am i over thinking and over reacting ?...Probably ! ,but i had rather over react in a time like this than find myself or my family in a pickle due to this economy crap...
So thats whre i am at this point....Any idea's Guys !......

Interesting subject and what a kool scooter. But, think about it deeper.
My view from up here is similar to you guys our economy is shedding excellent paying jobs at an alarming rate and no one knows where it's headed. The US housing problem is still bad with foreclosures clipping along. In Ontario Canada we have dropped 175,000 good paying jobs in auto, high tech in the last fiscal year with more coming. If you have a bundle in your pocket I would suggest waiting for one simple reason.
That bike is a nice deal but there will be plenty more before long with guys being forced to dump the toys with bill collectors at the door. I am already running across deals on various sell sites that make you look twice. There will be far more sellers by this summer and the guys with cash will be loading up.
GL with it what ever you decide juice, but for me I would sit tight.

Brian that is good thinking. you could buy the bike and make good money off of it. or you could buy it and have to sit on it along time. mean while the economy is getting worse and may cause you to sale something you have now to get the money back you paid for the bike. i think id try to ride the storm out a little longer than dumping your cash right now. good luck on what ever you decide.

The Banks want you to stick it in their vaults so they can pay off their bad debts. The Corporations want you to spend so they don't collapse.
My thinking is simple, if the Banks didn't buy dumb loans in the first place we wouldn't be in this mess and would be spending.
It's a world full of greed friends.

I wondered where the name came from and did expect it was Car related somehow. More like Beetle Bad that bad boy it must of been all engine.
I guess it's an optical illusion but that Shady Side looks downhill. Probably because there is a grade at the curve going up. But the acoustics from those engines must be wicked with those tree's keeping all the noise over the track.
